And that was when I knew I wouldn't be getting out of this and I would be paying the price my entire life.

Fuck. Not on the carpet, it's so new, I thought consciously, I hadn't realised that the so called spillage on my beautiful and virgin carpet was in fact blood. My blood.

At this pint a chilling pair is hands clamped my two ankles together, hitting the hyper sensitive bone between them together- earning a wince or two. Hauling my limp body through my now unrecognisable apartment, I realised this wasn't a dream, I couldn't just scream and get out of, it was real. A muted chaos engulfed me.

My apartment used to be rather clean, the wooden floor of my bedroom was perfectly scuffed and the mattress on the floor seemed to be as snug as a bug. My rail of clothes hanging on the right side and that huge plant my mom gave me on the left next to the window.

The gangly figure that was using my body like a rake, pulling me every way possible, turned round and gave a tired glance as he tightened his icy grip. I noticed his sunken eyes, bushy brows and jet black second day hair. I thought if I were to kick, I could get out of his hold and maybe stumbled past a kitchen knife on my way (we all can dream.) So I did, focusing all energy on my target... yes it was a good hit but not good enough. He jolted forward and turned, crushed his bones fingers even harder round my ankles, ducked his head sharply causing his mop to flop in front of his face and lowered to my level. Reeking of weed and nicotine he snapped his head up and spoke, "don't ever try that again Princess." Ending his sentence with a cutting glare that lasted more than it should.

As he turned and rises I caught a glance of his tattooed body. I was petrified, not because of his inked body but because in his back pocket of his black jeans, slipped neatly and fitting like a glove was a gun.

Only then did everything start to sink in, his breath previously falling from a height on my face, my hair and my clothes. His eyes, id seen before. He lived here, in this building. He was my neighbour.
