David arrived home late that night. This normally wouldn't phase you, with his job and all. But that was the thing, he wasn't on a case at the moment. You were sat with your legs up on the couch when he came in. "Hey sweetheart." He smiled kissing your head and hanging his coat up.
"Hey dear, where were you?" You asked, turning the T. V off.
"I was just at Nina's." He smiled.
"Your ex wife Nina? " you raised your eyebrows.
"Yes darling." He sat beside you. "Is there a problem?"
"Well no. " you frowned. "It's just a bit weird."
"Why? " he frowned, raising his voice slightly.
"Well, you know, if I went to visit an ex, you'd be suspicious." You frowned.
"What are you implying? " he asked, standing up.
"I'm not implying anything!" You frowned.
"Well clearly you are implying something! " he shouted.
"Don't shout at me Dave!" You commanded, "I was just curious. For Gods sake !"
"Whatever." Clearly in a bad mood , David stormed off to your shared room.
That night, you thought it was best to sleep on the couch. Unfortunately you didn't get to sleep until about 3am.
At 6am you heard your phone go off. You moaned as you sat up and answered it. "Hey Ems, what's up?" You asked.
"We've got a case, Y/N. I called David, but he arrived here without you. Didn't he wake you up? Are you okay? " she asked.
"I'm fine. No, he didn't wake me. I'll leave in five." You sighed.
"Okay." Emily said slowly, before hanging up.
For the next couple of days , the team was curious and confused. You and David hadn't been as close as you normally would and you didn't share a hotel room. Something was up.
The only time you two had spoken, was when he'd check up on you. He'd ask how you are, he'd buy you coffee and he made sure Aaron was easy on you. He noticed you didn't get much sleep.
On the flight, Spencer sat opposite you, trying to guess why you and David weren't talking.
"No Spence, he didn't poison our food." You laughed.
"Come on Y/N. What is it? " he asked.
"He went to visit an ex." You gave in. "I thought it was weird and it went from there." You sighed.
"Oh." said Spencer, he didn't want to pry any further.
David came and sat beside you, causing Spencer to smile. "Hey Rossi." He waved awkwardly.
"I'll be going." He laughed at you.
"Is there something you needed?" You asked David, keeping your eyes fixed on your book.
"Y/N please look at me." He sighed. You breathed deeply, in and out. Before looking up at him.
"Y/N. I'm sorry, Nina and I are still friends. I didn't tell you where I was going and how long I'd be. For that, I'm sorry." He revealed.
"I'm sorry too." You nodded.
"Why are you sorry?" He asked.
"I overreacted." You both shared a smile.
"So you forgive me? " he asked.
"Only if you forgive me. " you smiled.
He nodded, you leaned your head on his shoulder and got back to your book.
"I sure missed seeing that." Emily laughed.
"I'm glad they sorted it out." Aaron nodded.
