Cassidy's P.O.V
I walked into the house, my legs trembling with fear as i closed the door. My hair ; messy. My face ; deranged with fear . What will she say? What will she do? - I thought . As i crept upstairs , a light had shone upon my face and i realized i'd been caught.
"Where the hell you been ?" I heard a familiar voice say. It was my Mothers . "I went to my freinds house Mama " I lied . " Dont you lie to me girl !! " She said slamming her hand down on the hard table , making me jump . " Im not mama" I said letting a held back tear fall . She doesnt know what i just went threw. "...Im not"
She gave me a look of hatrid and disgust." I brought you in this world and i will take you out got damnit !! Dont you lie to me" she slammed her hand down once more . "I was at a party...i should'nt have went " i shouted. My eyes turning red as i let a river of tears pour out of them. She sat down on the sofa . Tears falling down her cheeks as well.
"You gonna end up just like Callie . Just like her!!" Momma know crying with me. "No im not mama!! You know that was August!" . "Just like her!! 26 years old throwin' her life away!! For what?...For a man that doesnt even love her!! For a man that beats her day and night !!You gone end up just like her!! " . I walked over and sat next to momma.
We cry together as i rested my head on her lap. "Im sorry mama..Im sorry" I said. She lifted me up and hugged me tight . "I just dont want you to end up like your sister" . "I wont ; i promise" Me and mama talked a little bit more before falling asleep. "Go to bed.." i heard mama say. I did as i was told.
I went upstairs to my room, layed down and drifted off to sleep.
You're probably wondering whats going on . Well, My name is Cassidy Johnson and i live in the hood . Its just me and my mother. I never knew my father . My mom is all i have and im all she has . Thats why she was upset when i came back so late . Now, i know your like "Who the hell is callie?" Well Callie is my older sister.
She moved out when she was just 16. She met a guy By the name of August . She thought he was the love of her life, but she soon found out that he wasnt. Callie tried to leave ; August wouldnt let her. He kept saying he needed her and that he wouldnt hurt her anymore than he already has . He beat her back then and keeps promising he'll stop. Well Tadaa , 10 years later she's still calling our house phone beging us to help her run from him. Each and everyday, i pray she finds her way back through her life .
I was snapped out of my thoughts, when i heard loud banging on the door. I rushed downstairs. I looked over at Mama, she looked just as confused as i was . She grabbed the bat . It was 2:45 in the morning. And we live in the hood. We cant be to careful these days..you know?
