*Madelyn's POV*
I did not know where I was running to, not like I cared. This has not been the first time I have run away when something upsets me to the point I hate everything.
"MADELYN, COME BACK PLEASE!" I hear mom scream, but I do not pay any attention and keep running.
The warm mid-June breeze feels soothing on me, almost as if it is on my side, telling me it is okay. Of course, it is just wind. But it almost has a meaning. I shake the thought out of my head and continue running, then slowing to a jog.
That is when I hear someone running behind me, not sure who. I flip around, my hair covering my eyes, and the person does not look familiar at all. Before I could scream for help, a cloth is thrown over my face and the scent of chloroform is burning my nostrils...soon making everything go black.
*Carly's POV*
There I stood, completely frozen as I watched my sister get thrown into some raggedy smoky-gray minivan. Too much shock corrupted me, but then I fell on my knees and screamed my loudest. It was almost nauseating to see her get kidnapped. I heard mom and dad come running like Speedy Gonzalez behind me, and all I could say was,
"Madelyn was kidnapped!"
Mom looked at dad, and then burst into flowing tears. She sat down next me, and we cradled each other while crying. Dad called 911, and I told him the description of the car so he could tell the police. When he hung up, he had a semi-smile on his face.
"They know that car and what house it goes to. Hopefully they can recover her. If not, an amber alert may be necessary."
Hopefully my sister would come home safe.
