Four sentinels were walking the streets, each adorned with matte body armor and the government issue blade. Jasper sat across the street, and Dakoda right next to me. Both waited for my command. "Be ready to add to your kill list. Signal Jasper." Dakoda produced a small duck whistle from his pocket and blew into it twice. We dropped down to the ground silently and I took the lead, grabbing the first guard and slicing his throat before he could scream out. I ducked back into the shadows, darting around quickly to grab the woman on their team. I looked around me and the other two guards lay dead.

"Get their tags. We take this one alive. We can use her." I pulled the tags from my kill and drug the struggling woman through back alleys screaming. My hand wrapped around her mouth as we passed trough the area around the school as people were sleeping at this hour. We took her into the house, taking her to the training room and tieing her up on a pull up bar. Her face was hard and unyealding. "Try to run and I'll cut your toes off." I whispered right next to her ear. She twitched around in a weak attempt to attack me. "Show me your face if you aren't scared of being caught. The Unseen walking among us is true isn't it?"

I pulled off her hood and drew in a breath. Memories flooded back into my head of an old childhood friend, playing among the trees and flowers. "Take off the mask and let me talk to your leader." Everyone around me snickered and nudged me in the sides. "You do not fear us? Do you want to join us?" My questions rang through the air. She smiled "I fear no one. I support your group but would be a disappointment if I joined." "Why did you join the guard." She puzzled over my question. "Convenience." I rolled my tongue around and chewed on my lip before reaching up and removing the cloth that covered my face. The shuffling told me that the rest of the group was doing it as well.

Her eyes grew wide. "Onyx? It's been so long." I backed up away from her. "Alice. You got my family killed. These past years have been delibrate." She clicked her tongue. "You have been hard at work I see. This is all you?" I laughed. "This has been the work of all of us. Not just one but sixteen." I walked away with my last word to my room to change into workout clothes. "Dakoda we need the tattoo gun." I hustled down the stairs as I yelled at him. Sage darted around between my legs into the hands of Keanu for her training. Jasper, Dakoda, and I all sat down back to back to receive out new lines. "What do those mean?" I looked over to Alice. "How many people we have killed. You will be my tenth." Her face paled out.

Roy dragged the needle through ink and then touched it to my skin making a straight red line in my pale skin. The burn faded almost immediately. "Death to all that disobey the government. But your government kills the innocent. My father said one thing that lead to his death. I grew to except his fate." I wrapped my hands in white cloth, opening my fists. "Your words, Alice, your lies got everyone but me killed. My mom, grandma, and little brother are now buried in the earth instead of walking it. And I won't rest until I have justice." The group behind me cheered loudly, and I raised my fist to silence them. Violet stood in the far corner watching. I brought my hand to cup here face lightly. "This will hurt." I pulled back my arm and clocked her in the jaw. The five teen behind me cheered.

Alice cried out when I hit her again. "Don't you think she would be valuable?" Violet peeled herself away from the corner. I stopped mid hit but wrapped my fingers around her throat. "What?" My voice was questioning. "Information. It's the most valuable thing in this world now. Keep her alive, beat her into submission if you must but she's important." Violet touched my back, wrapping herself around me and pulling my raised fist back by my forearm. Audrey and Brandon came around me and tied her to a more comfortable machine where she could sit. "Jay gets first watch. She's never alone until we know we can trust her." Violet huffed into my back and began tracing the twitching muscles in my back.

I broke off and began training with the others. The entire time I could see Alice watching me from the corners of my eyes. I finished off my training by going to the second floor to see the dogs. They were all black, most likely from the same stock as they were all very similar in size. I had only names three, the largest. Tank, Kujo, and Luka. The other dogs belonged to the others. I let my three out and with Sage walked to the training room. "Keanu can you take the dogs out later? It's been a week." He nodded back at me and took Lukas head in his hands. I clicked at my dogs to follow back up the stairs and into my bedroom where I stripped off my sweaty clothes for new ones. All four dogs had taken residence on my furs so I took the floor next to the dresser and let myself think about my brother.
