(A/N): i dont know.

-------------------------------------------------

I didn't expect much after that midnight hangout, obviously nothing changed. I am still a friend to him and he's still a friend to me ... right?

We did text more often though, I'm glad we are, I got to know more about him. Like his middle name is David and he was blonde as a kid. Did I believe that? Of course not.

It was a crisis when September started closing in and October was ready to happen, I am not ready for any boots, scarves, and sweater weather. I despise this the most. Hopefully, I'd get to meet up with my best friend and chat along with her about her vacation in Paris.

It isn't fun. You know? Sitting in a coffee shop, enjoying a bagel with a medium size latte, staring out at the cloudy sky. Typical scenerio, but I'm missing one thing: A friend. Not that I need one, I just feel lonely listening to calm music and eating a bagel.

I turn on my phone and scroll through the notifications, hopefully to see a message from
Alex. I pouted and sighed when i found no such notification. What if I invite him over? Sounds dumb after what happened a week or so ago, but I contradicted myself as I clicked on his phone number and dialed him up.

"Y'ello?" he answered. "Hi Alex" "Ah, (Y/N)! I was kinda hoping you'd call, to be honest. Uhmm.. Glad you did, Do you need anything? Are you in danger?" My eyes widen a bit in confusion and I blinked, "No, No, I just called to ask if a coffee date was fine." "A Coffee Date?" he asked, "... Well, I wouldn't call it a date. More like a.. A get together." I nervously answered, hoping to not sound like the dummy I am.

"Yeah! Sounds fun, where at?", He asked eagerly. "It's literally right infront of the pub." I stared at the pub across from the glass window, eyeing it a bit. "Alrighty.. I'll meet you there." His accent threw me off a bit and I smiled when he hanged up. I looked down at myself, brushing off crumbs and tidying myself up.

(An hour or so later...)

Alex laughed at the dumb jokes I made and I laughed along with him, "So then she said-- she said 'why would you ever do that?' But, Alex-- Oh god, Alex, you should've seen her face, It was like this" I did a bad impression of what the woman's face looked like and he laughed hardcore, so did I, as I laughed I said, "priceless!". I stopped laughing after a few to catch my breath and he looked at me while smiling.

I smiled after laughing and got a bit flustered when he wouldn't stop staring at me. "Gosh, why are you staring at my face? It's pretty ugly." "I'd like to deny that." He grinned a bit and I rolled my eyes, pursing my lips. After a few seconds ticked by, I looked around, then remembered something. I gasped and slammed my arms to the table, not so loudly and looked at him, "We. Have. To. Go. To. The. Carnival."

He furrowed his eyebrows and cocked a half smile/half laugh, "Now?" He questioned me, "Well... No, when i get some money collected. But the days before it closes and moves!" I claimed. "Is this another one of ya dates?" He chimed, "No, no, no. Its friendly!", I quickly grabbed his hand in the most platonic way that exists and showed him infront of him, "See? Friendly!" He silently blushed and smiled at me, "Yeah yeah, whatever ya say. I'll take you to carnival" "Screw that! I am paying for you." I said, proudly eventhough I was hella broke.

He clicked his tongue and laughed, he gently held both of my hands infront of us in the table and rubbed his thumbs on my knucles. "Friendly?" He said, looking at me with a daring look, "Friendly."

(At the Carnival)

"Ok so, do you think we need the wrist band or are you alright with buying limited tickets?" I said, a little loud while i was walking towards him with 5 tickets in my hand. "Erm.. the wristband lets us go into the rides free.." He gently nudged me, "Unless ya want to spend your afternoon in the kiddie rides, I dont mind, love." I rolled my eyes, groaning as I made my way back to the line.

"I don't think it was a good idea going into the roller coaster first..." I said, gripping the railing infront of us and looking to the side. "I also dont think it was a good idea having a 3rd person in the ride." Alex motioned to the little kid, I scoffed, "Leave him alone!" "To be honest, he's doing way better tha--" The roller coaster started moving, I gripped the railing more 'till my knuckles turned white.

I laughed nervously when the ride started going upwards, "i.dont.think.im.ready." I quickly stumbled onto my words repeatedly. Alex slowly moved his hand above mine and gently squeezed it, he whispered "Hey, I'm here." I closed my eyes and next thing I knew, the bottom of my stomach ended up in my throat and I had to puke everywhere.

We chose to go to the Ferris Wheel, something to lighten up the 'Close-to-vomiting' feeling in the most romantic Carnival ride. Alex sat beside me on the booth, he kept on looking at me for a while while I was taking a picture at the top of the Ferris Wheel, "What? Its for the aesthetic." He chuckled and I laughed along, I looked at him, up and down and began to realize how much of a beauty he was.. I carefully got up and sat beside him on the booth, getting comfortable and nuzzling into him while getting my phone up and ready for a selfie. "Wow, I look horrible" I looked back at him with a '??? What.' expression, "What? I do!" "Alexander. Shut up, you look great."

We posed for one picture with our tongues out, another one with our arms around each other.. "Hey what about.." Alex said while he grabbed my phone. He didn't know much about phones, he rarely used his for anything other than calling or texting, but what I do know is he knows how to take pictures.

He looked at me straight in the eye, making me nervous and jittery, "Friendly, Alex.. K-Keep it friendly..." He gave me a soft smile and held the phone in a good position infront of us and he got closer, inches away from my face and pressed his lips against mine, snapping a picture while that happened. I widened my eyes, blushing as he pulled away, "Friendly, aren't I?" He smirked.

"Bet you do that with Every girl." I said, embarrassed, as we both got back into our semi-cuddling position as he wrapped his arm around me.

"Nah. Only to my favorite girl."
