The tension was thick in the room, as Paris and Shane stared each other down from opposite sides of the long cherry oak table !! With the best lawyers that money could possibly buy sitting next to them, the possibilities were endless of how the meeting could've turned out .. The passion, love, hate, and regret pulsated through the room as they both tried to out intimidate each other with only their eyes .. The road that led them to their seats at that table was more than rocky, it was cold, and broken !! Breaking eye contact with Shane, Paris let her eyes roam down to her hands. Playing with the Tiffany's charm bracelet that Shane had bought her while in Paris, she listened as her lawyer spoke ..

"My client, just wants all of this to be over !!" Glancing at Paris, Her lawyer refrained from making eye contact with Shane ..

"Well Mr. Edwards, My client refuses to sign the divorce papers until he feels he and his wife have done everything possible to save their marriage !! Which they haven't !! Therefore there will be no divorce !!" Blake Garcia, had been Shane's lawyer for years .. He was around when Shane first met Paris ..

Sighing, Gary Edwards glanced over at Paris as she continued to fiddle with her bracelet "This has been going on for 3 months, she's ready to move on with her life !!" Gary replied back, It was true .. After everything Paris and Shane had went through together she finally gathered the courage to file for a divorce !!

Visitation was sat up through both of their mom's .. Paris didn't want to give Shane the satisfaction of even seeing her, so she kept the interaction between him and her to a minimum ..

Everything about what was going on was driving Shane crazy, at first he seen Paris filing for a divorce as just a meaningless threat, a tantrum !! She was mad, with everything he put her through it was understandable but he still didn't think she would go through with it .. but yet there they were, at a table negotiating their possible split .. and he wasn't having it ..

"Her life is his life !!" Blake retorted back gesturing back towards Shane "They have 3 kids together, that has to mean something to her !! And until everything has been ruled out professionally we prefer to halt the divorce process !!" He concluded with a smile ..

"And how do we do that Blake ?!" Gary asked, with irritation lacing his voice ..

"My client suggests, a 2 month trial period of Paris moving back in with him, and marriage counseling !!" He replied ..

Laughing, Paris finally broke her silence looking up from her bracelet for the first time out of the 30 minutes of them being there ..

"What's so funny ?" Shane asked with a smirk ..

"You are Mr.Carter !!" She said glaring over at him ..

"How am I funny Mrs. Carter ?" He asked with emphasis on the Carter ..

"You don't get it, Shane .. I'm over this !! You can have all of it, the money, the cars, the lifestyle, you can fuck any bitch you want without hiding it from me anymore !! I just want out !!" She yelled across the table ..

Staring back at her Shane watched as tears rolled down her cheeks, he was pissed he let it get that far ..

"I'm sorry Paris !!" He said ..

Laughing again, Paris wiped her eyes "For the what Shane ? The millionth time ?! How many chances am I suppose to give out ? You not only cheated on me .. You had a whole nother fuckin mistress on the side !! You was doing for her damn near all the shit you was doing for me !! I'm your wife, not her so why in the fuck was she getting all of my perks ?!" She yelled slamming her hands against the table ..

Sighing, Shane licked his lips before speaking "She didn't Paris, Yeah I fucked up but I wasn't doin that much shit for her .. You my wife, my only concern is you !!" Looking her in the eyes, he was hoping she felt the sincerity ..

"Shane .. you paid her bills, you gave her money, you bought her clothes, that was enough !!" Paris replied ..

Shane knew he had hurt her, but he was just now starting to see just how bad ..

Shaking his head, he chose his words wisely "Just give me one more chance Paris, I'll spend the rest of my life makin it up to you ma !! But I can't let you go .. not this easily !!" He replied ..

Staring him in the eyes Paris, had heard enough .. Grabbing her Balenciaga bag out of the chair next to her she got up "I wanna speak to her !!" She replied calmly as she stood up

Frowning, Shane didn't want to go there "Why ? Me and her done Paris, she wasn't shit to me but a fuckin mistake !!" He said

"Because .. I wanna know everything, what you're not telling me, and what you've already told me .. including what was so special about her that you would risk losing me !!" Staring into Shane's eyes Paris walked away ..

6 Months Earlier

Paris stood next to Kelsey on the balcony of 1/15 overlooking the crowd from the second floor !! It was New Year's night, Shane and Shamar were in Columbia on business, and the girls were out enjoying their free time without the piercing eyes of their husbands watching them !! It had been a entire year, and for once their lives were drama free .. Baby Shane was now 3, Syx & Skylar were now 2 and Shance was just about to turn 1, and their time out was well needed ..

"Here, this is the last shot of the night !!" Kelsey yelled over the music as she handed a drunk Paris a shot of Patron ..

Giggling, Paris took it out of her hand ..

"Here's to us, our baby's, our husbands, and everything we've been blessed with !! May this year bring happiness, and peace to us both !!" Kelsey finished, clinking their glasses together they took the shots to the head ..

"I'll drink to that !!" Paris laughed and ordered them both another round .. Praying that they would get exactly what they were asking for ..
