12/11/13 Entry 1

So after researching a little I found out that I shouldn’t use my friend’s real names and the school’s name so I decided to change it. Everything else is real and from my point of view, just different names are used.

So this is the start of my sad, sad life… I don’t know if this is going to be a funny story or not, I’m just writing out of my ass right now. You won’t know who I am but its okay there is no need to know. Before I start my life story or high school story, I would like to introduce myself a bit. So I consider myself a normal guy but some people might not think that. I live in Brooklyn New York and I go to a high school named ******. Some might know where it is some might not. So let me start the story off of when I am in my first day in freshman year. I start going to my classes. My first class was earth science and I sat all the way in the back. (This was before I had glasses) I was pretty intimidated already since some of the students were sophomores and juniors. After finishing that class I went to my next one which was algebra class. I was new to the school so I didn’t know where to go. I spend a lot of time walking around until I found the class.

I was a few minutes late and the teacher said, “I will allow you to be late for this week since you guys are freshman, don’t be late next week.”

This scared me a little since I didn’t even know how I got to this class. So I left and continued to my classes. A little thing you should know about me before I continue this story is that I’m a shy person and I’m Asian. I’m a little embarrassed to say this but I took a test online and it says I’m 8/10 in shyness. I don’t know why I’m even writing this story but I’ll continue anyways. So because I’m shy I wasn’t able to make friends right away in any of my classes except one…. My last class of the day was music class and I came in and sat down in a random seat. I was pretty depressed since I didn’t make any new friends. As I sat down and waited for all the other students and the teacher to come in one guy came and sat next to me. He’s partly black and his name is Alex. I still can’t forget what the first thing he says to me. I think that I would never forget it. What he said is probably one of the most stereotypical things that someone would say to an Asian.

He says ….. “You speak English right?”

I’m not going to lie I was offended by that but since I haven’t talked to anyone yet I decided to just brush it off. So I sat there with Alex and then his friend came in. I didn’t know his name but Alex kept on calling him Alvin so that’s what I figured his name was. He starts talking to Alex and Alex says that he’s bi and that surprised me since I never knew anyone that was bi. So then class started and we ended up talking and they were the first friends that I ever made in this school.
