Regret

The welling of all the anger was still at its peak, they had hurt what mattered to me most and I let them feel what I felt. I turn to embrace my beloved and take a step, she takes one back, I give a gentle embrace and she starts to cry."It's ok they won't hurt you anymore." I say. She's trembling and  looks me in the eyes before slapping me "Never again Alex, you're not a monster, don't give them that satisfaction, do you understand me.", she yells at me, her tone is shaky, still trembling, tears well up in her eyes before she punches me and runs off into the night.

I stand in still darkness, the cold breeze nips at my skin as their blood leaks down my arms and face. Her words echo in my head, I can feel the sting of her slap along with my face bruising up to her second assault. As darkness surrounds me to take clean up the mess, I turn to the wall and peirce through the brick with my fist. The lesser demons look at me as I recover myself "WHAT!?" my voice is dark and  the sound wave kills them before I notice it. Again I stand alone in the dark....... This time for good.
