Since the day I was born I've been strange. Everyone was born with one special power, but I was born with two. Telekinesis and Telepathy. My parents quickly realized and made the right choice to tell me not to tell anyone about my powers. Telekinesis and telepathy were two of the rarest and more dangerous powers around. I'm sure they knew that in the long run it would protect me from all the gangs and such.

So for my whole life, I've lived pretending I had no powers. I was just an average 20 year old guy. I even made a name for myself as a model. I know I'll sound ungrateful but I honestly don't want my powers. I'm fine with being normal, and knowing what everyone is thinking all the time is honestly tiring.

Especially when it's not something you want to know. Like how my best friend Aoi doesn't return my feelings of love for him. Sure sometimes he thinks I'm good looking or cool but he doesn't love me like I love him. I'm okay with that though. I've accepted it.

It's my own fault I know exactly what everyone thinks of me. I mean if you can read minds you get a bit curious sometimes. I usually stay out of people's minds though. Got to respect their privacy.

"Great job Haruka-kun." My manager says as we leave the job I was just doing. "You never fail to impress me." He says with a sweet smile. My manager was a sweet guy, and unlike me he didn't pretend to be normal, he was actually part of the 15% of the population that doesn't have powers. Oh how I envy him. We get in the car and manager starts making his way towards my apartment.

I got excited thinking about how Aoi was at home waiting for me. Aoi and I are roommates, I make enough money to live on my own but chose to stay with Aoi.

"Be sure to get plenty of rest, you have an interview tomorrow." My manager says as I get out the car. I nod and speed walk towards the elevator. I press the button that goes to the 6th floor and wait excitedly. It was 6 o'clock, and after a long day of work coming home to Aoi is like heaven. He usually has dinner cooked too.

The elevator doors finally open and I rush out the doors and speed walk down the hallway. I stop at apartment 612 and unlock it. I walk in to see Aoi sitting at the dinner table waiting for me. He was wearing a floral print sweater with gray joggers and his hair was messy like he'd just woken up from a nap.

"I'm home." I say as I take off my shoes and walk in.

"Welcome back!" Aoi says with a cute smile. I sit across form him and we start eating. "How was work?"

"The usual." I say with a shrug. "What about you?" Aoi owns a small coffee shop downtown. It's a family business that Aoi took over when his folks passed. He's always loved to bake anyway so it was like a dream come true for him.

"This strange man came in today, he was a giant, and kind of mysterious too. He was asking some weird questions too." Aoi explains passionately. No matter what he talks about he's always passionate about it.
