Prologue

7 YEARS AGO.

"Waaaah!! A***!! Waaaah!!! ToT" - Ako sabay punas ng mga luha ko.

Tumingin ulit ako sa sasakyang unti-unting lumalayo sa paningin ko.

"A***!! Wag mo akong iwan!!" - Ako.

"YOU PROMISED ME!!" - Sigaw ko.

Sumilip sya sa bintana ng kotse nila. He had this sad smile on his face.

"Camille.. I'm sorry. I swear I'll make it up to you someday. I'll come back. I promise." - Ayan ang huli niyang sinabi bago pa mawala ang kotse nila sa paningin ko.

Iiwan mo na ba ako..?

Iiwan mo na ako ng tuluyan?

Forever?

Akala ko... sinabi mo sakin na hindi mo ako iiwan?

"Camille.. tama na.." - ??

Napatingin ako sa kamay na nasa harapan ko.

I looked up and saw my brother..

"KUYA!!!" - tumalon ako sa kanya.

Bakit.. Bakit..?

Pinagkatiwalaan ko pa naman siya..

He promised me he'll always be by my side.

He promised he'll never let anyone make me cry.

He swore he'll never hurt me.

But..

He's the one who did.

He broke our promise.

The only friend I had left me.

I should've known something was going on because he was acting strange these past few days..

Pero hindi ko inakalang.. aalis siya ng bansa.

I felt more tears well up in my eyes.

I can't help but feel rejected.

"Shh.. tahan na Camille.." - Kuya.

"Kuya.. Why did he have to leave? Why...?" -Ako.

I heard my brother sigh.

"I don't know Camille but.. I'm sure he has a good reason for doing so" -Kuya.

Reason..?

"Just believe in him okay?" -Kuya sabay abot sakin ng isang sulat.

"He gave that letter to me yesterday, ipabasa ko daw sayo" -Kuya. He sat up and left me to my privacy.

Nanginginig ang mga kamay ko.

I stared at the letter for a while and opened it slowly.

That handwriting.. it can only belong to him.

Sorry kung nawala ako ng biglaan ah? I don't even know what's happening now, so I can't explain it. But I promise this, I'll come back for you. I'll find you even if you grow to hate me.

I'll miss you baka. I won't forget you.

And.. I hope you'll forgive me.

Naramdaman ko na nag-blurred na naman yung paningin ko.

I clutched the letter in my hand and stared up into the sky.

I swear I'll wait for you A***.. I just hope you'll keep your promise too..
