Im sitting in the back of a bright red buick. tap. tap.tappity. tap. tap. I hum the tune to Christina Aguilera I turn to you. “ hun, do you mind stopping that noise I’m trying to think.” Aubrey has been freaking out ever since we left the pharmacy. I stared at her with empty eyes. “Its not like we didn’t know the day would come, I mean he’s been leading up to it. I was his prey and even though I avoided him, he found the right moment and pounced.” I said in a monotone voice. We came at a stop light I looked out the window and saw a little girl holding hands with her parents, walking absent mindedly eating ice cream. I envied the little girl I wanted to grab her perfect image and drown it in my misery.
“ I cant believe this, call Henry and tell him you won't be coming to school have him know you're with me and that the automated absent phone call better not call your house or there will be hell to pay.” I did as she said and 5 minutes later we arrived at a hospital. I no longer felt like the old me, the old me was fragile and broken. She would have flinched every time someone yelled, looked, or even pass her. She would have freaked out mentally and emotionally seeing the horrific sight of the hospital. Hospitals were wrapped up in some weird voodoo that made everything go bad. Hospitals are the main reason I’m an outcast. This is why I’m abused. This is why I’m bullied and this is what made me a recent rape victim. I would forever be scarred, and right now, I feel disgust and rage pour over me. I squeezed my eyes really tight and opened them and looked at my hands, my aura was flecks of black and purple. I dont know when exactly I began seeing these weird auras but I do know that they soothed me. I felt invincible seeing things that the normal eye couldn't see. It made me feel like I had my own special power in a way it was.
