I came home and parents were out (as usual) so I went to the kitchen got a fitness shake and went to the gym. I was in there for 3 hours until I realised a scrappy looking book on one of the benches. I went up to it "CLASSIFIED" it read in bold letters on the front cover. Curiosity has always been one of my weaknesses I guess that's another reason my parents won't get me presents for Christmas, I would just find out what they were by examining size, weight and shape. It was difficult to resist the temptation of the book, so I opened it...
As soon as I opened the first page my mouth dropped, this was a book on ALL of my parents' missions. It was over the brim with photos and scraps of paper. I picked one photo up, a image of my parents both holding what looks like a chainsaw. Their teeth bared back into menacing smiles, the caption beneath said "target destroyed". I kept reading about horrifying weapons, different ways to ruin a persons life and (the most shocking) lists of people they've killed. I counted at least 60 when my parents burst in, they froze as soon as they saw the object in my hands. A few pieces of torn paper fell to the floor breaking the silence.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!?!?" My dad shouted as he clenched his fist.
"IS THAT WHAT I THINK IT IS?!?!" my mum added.
Before I had time to answer them I was on the floor with blood pouring out of my scalp. I got up and staggered back when I realised the full force of my injury, I could barely walk and my vision was faded and blurred. Even with my head injury I was still faster than either of my parents. I bolted for the door. I'm out I thought with a hint of relief until I heard the furious screams behind me. KEEP RUNNING YOU IDIOT. No doubt they would have some twisted tool of torture for me. I keep moving. Its difficult as of the thick blanket of snow covering the ground and ruining the small amount if grip my school shoes have. I ran a mile or so before finding a safe place.
It was an opening in the woods near Laura's house. I could've easily walked to her house but I new that it would be a lost cause. I sank to the ground and lay there. The cool snow surrounding my head had turned red. The world starts to rock back and forth until its just blackness...
