Chapter 4: What Just Happened?

As I started walking towards my car, I thought about what probably would have happened if I went to the party with Everett. From the description of parties that I get from Gretchen and Julie, I would hate it there. Apparently there are a lot of drunk people, drugs, PDA, and below-the-equator action (if you know what I mean). Gretchen said that because I look really cute, (which I totally disagree with) I would get hit on a lot. I honestly have never thought about anyone liking me before, the possibility is as foreign as Percy Jackson is to Harry Potter.

I hopped into my white Audi R8, my dream car. (I seriously can't believe that my parents got Aidan and I cars for our 16th birthdays.) I started the engine and turned on the radio. One of my favorite songs was on, Heart Attack, by Demi Lovato, so as per norm, I sang along. I pulled out of the parking lot and onto the road. My house is about ten minutes away from school, so I wasn't driving for long.

I pulled into my driveway and into my designated parking space, issued by my parents. My spot was behind my moms, whose was behind my dads. Aidan's was behind mine. My parents are OCD, so you can see where I got mine from, and you can also tell why we have designated parking spots. We have the circle driveway with a fountain in the middle, so it works out well. Our house is really big for just four people. My dad has a business that is really big, so he used a lot of money to get a house and new cars and a bunch of other rich people stuff. At times, I really wish that we were a normal family.

I unlocked the door and went inside. I made sure that I locked it behind me, OCD kicking in. I probably checked it like four times before I finally was sure that it was locked. I then took off my shoes and put them in the shoe caddy and took off my jacket and put it on the hanger. I then went upstairs to my room and grabbed my laptop. I went facebook to see if I had any messages. Sure enough, I did. It was one from Dallas, my cousin, who oddly enough lives in Dallas, Texas.

From Dallas#82- Hey Aiko! Whats up

From Dallas#82-k talk 2 u soon

I checked my phone for the time, and it was 12:46. I can't believe that I was talking to Dallas for that long. I went into my bathroom and hopped in the shower. I washed my hair with vanilla-scented shampoo and conditioner. I love the smell of vanilla, it just makes me feel so warm. I then got out of the shower, dried off and dried my hair. I got dressed into my favorite pjs.http://www.polyvore.com/aikos_pjs/set?id=106843616 (link for pjs)

I knew that I wasn't going to be able to go to sleep for a while because Aidan is at a party and I probably have to help him get to bed. So, I turned my tv on and put on Spongebob. I don't know why, but I just love this show. I watched this for about one hour, then it started to get boring. So, I turned it off and grabbed my book: The Fault in Our Stars. This book is just SO perfect.

At around 2:50, a car pulled into the driveway. I looked outside the window, and Aidan's car pulled into his spot. With my luck, Everett got out of the driver's side and went over to the passengers side. To my non suprise, Aidan fell out of the passengers side onto the ground. He was so drunk. I ran downstairs and went to the door to see Everett and help him drag Aidan to his room. I opened the door and ran to the car.

"Hey, Everett. How long has Aidan been out?" I said. I walked over to Aidan and helped Everett lift him up off of the ground.

"Hi, Aiko. Aidan's passed out about five minutes after we left Shaun's house. He'll probably have a hangover tomorrow morning." Everett replied. These conversations were always the same. Every time Aidan went to a party, he got really drunk. He and Gretchen both drink like truckers, seriously, they should be twins, they have more in common than me and Aidan.

"Ok. Well, we have to lug him upstairs. By the way, where is your car?" I asked.

"At Shaun's house. Aidan wouldn't let me drive mine here, he said that it had to be his."

"Well, how are you going to get home?"

"I really don't know. Would you care if I spent the night?"

"No, you could sleep in the guest bedroom. Our parents are on a business trip anyway, so you wouldn't be bothering anyone."

"Ok, thanks. Well we kinda have to get him upstairs. It is really cold out here." We picked Aidan up this way: I grabbed his legs and Everett grabbed his arms. We got him inside and then set him down at the bottom of the stairs.

"Jesus, this boy is heavy." I said as I panted.

"No shit. On the plus side, we only have one more set of stairs."

"Yeah. Lets hurry up and get this over with then." We finally got him upstairs and then we set him down and drug him to his room. We lifted him up one last time and set him on his bed.

"Finally!" Everett exclaimed.

"If I ever have to do that again, I swear I'll kill myself."

"Ikr." he said in texting language.

"Well, do you need anything before I go to my room for the night?"

"Yeah, actually I do." he said walking up to me. I backed up and ran into the wall. I just stood there as he kept getting closer. He finally closed the space in between us by putting his lips up against mine. I (of course) kissed him back.He was the first person ever to kiss me. His lips were really soft and kind of tasted like cherry chapstick, not very manly, Everett. Anyways, you know how people say that during a kiss they feel butterflies in their stomach? Well, that happened throughout my entire body. He then pulled away after what felt like hours, but was only 36 seconds, (yes I counted). "Aiko, you don't know how long I've been waiting to do that. You are the most beautiful girl in the world and I really want to hang out you more often. Is that ok with you? Sorry that wasn't very romantic, I'm not good at coming up with good stuff like that to say to a girl."

In my brain, I was thinking "What Just Happened?" I was still kind of shocked that he kissed me, but I managed to get some words out. "Everett, I have had a crush on you for the last two years. I really would love it if we could hang out together." I finished.

"Really!? That's awesome!"

"Well Everett, do you need anything else before I go to bed?" I asked. He put on a thinking face, (great way to break up the romantic moment)

"Yeah, can I sleep in your room with you?"

"NO you perv!"

"Well, I don't think that you thought that a minute ago." He whispered in my ear. I smacked him playfully.

"Good night, Everett."

"Night, Aiko." He said as we walked separate ways down the hallway.

I climbed into bed and thought about Everett for a while. I think that I literally thought (and smiled) myself to sleep.
