The next morning, Emma drove over to the corner and waited for his car to pull up. She didn't want to always rely on him for a ride home from wherever they were gonna go. The thought of having a guy so attentive to her was a new feeling. Guys her age didn't even care about her feelings most of the time. They weren't about the feelings as much as they were about the activities. She looked down to her hands that were still gripping the steering wheel of the car. The cut on her hand was now covered by a bandaid, but it brought memories back from the previous evening. Watching him clean her cut wasn't as disgusting as she thought it would be as long as she pushed back the thought that he was cleaning up blood. Her blood. He really did care for her, and a smile formed on her face. He really was adorable. Maybe a relationship wouldn't be that bad. She was getting older with each day, and it wasn't like Killian was physically getting older. Besides, he was five hundred years old. It's not like she could catch up to him.
The clock on the dashboard hit 12:00, and at that moment, his black car pulled up behind her. She watched him from the rear view mirror and smiled when he got out. She got out as well and he greeted her with a kiss to her cheek. He handed her a blood red rose, and it made her blush. Of fucking course he would pick a red one.
"Thank you, Killian. It's beautiful," she said and held the flower to her nose, smelling its sweet scent.
"Just like you I suppose." She looked up and he was smirking at her. "Maybe we could go to my house for coffee? I promise that that is all we will do."
She nodded. "Yeah. Sounds nice. I'll follow you?"
"Sure." They both got in their cars and Killian pulled away from the curb first. Emma followed him to the edge of the forest and they drove down a dirt road. As the trees grew thicker, it became darker. But, then, they pulled into a clearing where a huge house sat. There was an amazing concrete driveway and steps that led to the house. Killian parked first and Emma pulled her car behind him and shut the ignition off and got out. "Welcome to Jones Manor, love!" He said with a smile.
"This is amazing, Killian!"
"The inside is even better."
Emma walked along side him and up the steps and to the door. He pushed open the door and Emma was met with a grand foyer. A red carpet laid on the ground. It had gold designs on it as well as gold fringe. Paintings were on the walls, but beside the door was a coat and key rack. They walked into the kitchen and Killian showed her the granite countertops and fancy appliances. The living room was next to a loveseat that sat against one wall with a matching chaise and two recliners were, all around a coffee table that sat in front of a flat screen television. The dining room had a magnificent chandelier above it. It had a red table runner on it and an old candelabra in the center. He then took her upstairs and showed her a den that had a fireplace in it. A shield hung on the wall above it. Trinkets decorated the mantle of the fireplace. Two chairs sat in front of it with one shared side table in between the chairs. He directed her to the bathrooms and then his bedroom. Emma found it strange that he would show her this room considering she wouldn't be spending time in here. But, the room was as beautiful as the rest of the house. A stained glass window hung over the bed in the image of a sunset. The windows in the room were covered with red curtains. A fireplace sat at the end of the bed with another flat screen television mounted on the wall above it. The bed was a king sized with red and gold blankets.
"It's amazing. You are so lucky to be living in such a beautiful and magnificent home," Emma told him in awe.
"Thank you, love. It is wonderful, isn't it? I found it while exploring after I was freed from the box. I gathered what I needed and decorated," he explained.
"How did you get all the money for this?"
"Before I went into hiding, I buried a bag of gems and gold jewelry, knowing it would come in handy one day in the future."
