Kalel's POV

I walk away from Ian briskly and turn around to see that Jenna has already taken my spot next to him.

I turn back and continue walking in the direction of my area, where Anthony is sitting, digging rapidly through my duffle bag.

"Uh," I say curiously. "What are you looking to find in there?"

He looks up at me with a surprised expression.

"Oh, um," he says. "Nothing."

"Yeah, sure," I say sarcastically. "Seriously, what are you doing?"

"I can't find my pocket knife," he says.

I dig into my sweatshirt pocket and fish it out, handing it to him.

"Sorry," I say. "I kind of took it while you were asleep."

Anthony shrugs his shoulders.

"Eh, it's okay," he says. "Find anything new?"

I take a deep breath and sit down next to him, leaning against the cold stone wall.

"They've taken things a step further," I explain. "I tried to break open the vent, but they installed some kind of security system to protect it. We're never getting out of here anyway. What's the point?!"

I bury my head into my knees and sit like that for a while, in silence.

Felix's POV

I wake up to the sound of my cellphone buzzing.

I take the phone out of my bag and unlock it, my vision still a bit blurry.

I see that I have a text message from an anonymous number.

"Mr. Kjellberg," it reads. "We know you have your cell phone with you. Sadly, that is not allowed here, considering you should be unable to communicate with the outside world. Please kindly deposit your phone through the slot right beside the door. Thank you."

Um, how about no?

I shake my head and shove the iPhone back into my bag, in the secret compartment.

Upon doing that, I hear a loud buzzing noise in the back of my head.

"Ahhhh!" I scream, making everyone turn towards me. "Make it stop!"

They all rush to me but stop, not knowing what to do.

"Just stay calm," I hear Jenna yell hrough the buzzing. "I'm sure it'll stop soon..."

She hesitates.

I clench my fists as the noise becomes louder and louder.

Suddenly, a guard in a black suit bursts through the door, cleaeing a path through the small crowd surrounding me.

I close my eyes, trying to ignore the excruciating pain.

Through the commotion, I hear the guard's voice.

"Step away!" he yells, and I hear everyone take a step back, probably mortified. "Nobody move."

He ties a rope around my wrists and starts to drag me away from everybody.

"Felix!" I hear Marzia scream. "No! You can't take him! Stop it!"

I hear her start to cry, and teaes form in my eyes as well.

"Marzia!" I yell as I am dragged out the door. "Marzia, I'll be back soon-"

And that was the last thing I said to her before the door closed.

Marzia's POV

"No!" I yell as I collapse onto the cold floor in a mess of rage and tears.

Kalel runs over to me and pulls me upright.

She comfortingly puts her hand on my shoulder.

"Marzia," she whispers. "I-I'm so sorry."

I wipe some tears from my face as everybody watches.

"I-it's fine," I stutter. "It's not your fault."

I stand up and walk back over to my corner of the room.

"I just need to be alone,"

For a very long time.
