2 months went by and Hazel still hadn't come to see me or I see her. My heart longed for the touch of her tender lips against my own. But I had to stick with what I said. I must move on.

So the next day I went to a corner shop to buy some cigarettes (yes they actually allow them up here) to find no cigarettes on the bench.

"Where are all the cigarettes?" I muttered to my self.

"Sorry I took the last pack. Want one?" I looked up to find a girl with brown long hair and green eyes offering me a cigarette. I smiled and took it. I put it in between my teeth and before I knew it the girl lit it. I coughed a few times, foreign to this new taste. She laughed.

"Uh, what was that for?" I demanded.

"Um, well, when giving a man a cigarette, you should light it for him."

I sighed. But I couldn't help but smile. She was beautiful. "Well, I'm going to get a bottle of wine. Wanna drink with me?" I hesitated. What's the worst thing that happen?

"Okay, sure but I'm getting champagne."

"Ooh. You French or something?"

"No, American. I just like the taste of the stars." She rolled her eyes and wandered off.

"So what's your story?" After a few moments of awkward silence, the mysterious girl finally said something. I sighed. And I told her. I told her everything. Everything from when I met Hazel Grace.

After I finished, there was a long silence.

"Woah." she said. "That's... hard."

"Yeah, it is. What about you? Your story."

"It's private."

"Yeah, well it's private for everyone."

"No I'm not really ready to tell anyone. By the way, what's your name?"

"I'm Augustus. Augustus Waters. What's yours?"

"Alaska. Alaska Young."

"Cool," I said, as I left her house to visit my own.

When I arrived at my home, I saw a familiar man standing at my door. Miles. I walked up to him, looked into his eyes, and after a few seconds, I spat at his feet. But he didn't flinch. or move at all.

"What do you want?" I demanded.

"I want to talk," was his answer.

"About?..."

"Life."

"Okay but if you're doing this to receive my forgiveness, then-"

"I don't need or want your forgiveness. Just listen to my story.." And he told me his story.

The only thing I said was:

"Woah." I was about to tell him my story, but he stopped me mid-sentence.

"I watched your story." Okayyyyy.

"By the way," I said. "What was the girls name, in your story?"

The answer shocked me.

"Alaska Young."
