Faced pressed upon the cloth, my dogs in a cage both.
I'm to blame,
this dream, is it real?
At first it hit me like a beam.
Now what I feel, the repetitive thoughts of uselessness.
Constant visions of showing the usefulness of a tree.
Noose or leather belt.
Not loose, enough to be felt.
The coarseness, roughness, then the drop.
The final struggle.
Now you can't stop.
Panic enters your mind, like a manic whisper inside. You never can seem to find.
It's that overwhelming fever, seize it.
Because the spider webs in your brain...
Exist to be called sane, or perhaps...
Insane.
I turn over from staring and caring about the puppy dog faces.
When a bout of emotion flushes over me.
Closing my eyes to see the first image of a wall.
Quite tall, imagine the fall.
I shiver, liver from the drop splattered upon the lock.
The crimson life nectar is slippery and I can not enter.
Opening my eyes, I inhale and sigh.
Why oh, why?
Can I not see this blight?
I scream.
Take out a notepad and begin to write, to see what sight beholds me on the other side.
Quite the ride, as the negative emotions subside.
Here I am wanting to cry and die.
When today many fall pray to the chilling grasp of death.
Look up and away stare into deaths bony face.
Scythe slung over his chest, pointed at you.
You're next.
That shivering, hindering force called morality.
That is what lies beyond the door!
I perceived, feeling quite relieved.
Then a light I conceived.
Beyond that door opening, what do I happen to see?
Men and women falling from a balcony.
Right into the cobblestone.
A splat and a crack, then comes rats to pick them clean. Oh the woe.
The scene would grow as more predators began to know. Free food from the...
Freed fools who believe that poetry, art, and simply conceived an idea...
Sets you apart, on a crash course to your eternal rest.
I rush forward, looking up to the people who take this leap.
This fall from the wall.
I scream, "Stop! Don't one more take a step without looking down!"
They listen and a mouse approaches me with quite the frown.
"Why oh, why sir?"
Squeaks the bloated mouse.
Kneeling down I met the blood coated rodent.
"They must stop, and take a more potent route." I said without a shout.
"Shout! And shout! But look!"
I turned and shook in disbelief.
Another basted had took a leap.
The others began to follow and continued with the feast.
My interest was peaked.
"Why oh, why mouse!" I shrieked.
"All must soar and fall from the wall. So other won't be afraid."
I turned my head to see an insignificant rear of a rodent.
As he climbed it took shape. Turning into my face.
There I was upon the wall, instead of seeing the drop.
I saw the human race.
Then I took my fall.™
