Jasmine's POV

"Ladies and Gentlemen, court is now session. Please be seated." A man in suit on the right side of the judge spoke.

"Would the jury please deliver their verdict." The judge instructed rather sternly.

"On behalf of the jury, I will now deliver the verdict, " The front man of the jury pauses, "The restraining order filed on the 1st day of October on behalf of Jasmine Hoffman against Rachel and Melanie Platten will be revoked due to a lack of evidence. Thank You." The man sits back down in his seat. Then, the judge strikes his hammer hard, causing me to jump.

"As the Justice in this case, I am going to reverse that decision. Therefore, the aforementioned restraining order will remain in effect. Court dismissed." Silence fills the courtroom. I feel like my world just fell apart. Matt sighs beside and gently wraps me in a small, but comforting hug. Nora does the same as we file out of the courtroom. The three of us sit at a bench on the opposite side of the hallway. BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!BEEP!BEEP!BEEP! I cover my ears as a shrill sound emitting from Matt deafens me. Suddenly the sound stops and I put my hand down.

"What was that?" I ask.

"Sorry, that was my pager," He looks at me apologetically, "I just got called into work. I know that I promised to be with you today but this is really important. Would you mind spending the rest of the day with Nora?" I sigh.

"Sure. When will you be back?"

"Not sure, but mostly likely in a few hours. Say we meet at the Wendy's on 5th Ave around 6?" I nod.

"Okay. See you then." Matt pulls out fifty bucks and hands it to me. He waves at us before heading off, leaving the two of us alone. I feel a poke in my ribs. I turn around to see Nora with a smile on her face. I muster a laugh.

"I'm guessing you have an idea for us?"

"Yup. Let's go to Central Park." She says.

"Fine."

"Yippee!" She yells as she drags me towards the entrance to the subway.

"Sorry if I'm little excited but I think this will help cheer you up." She says as we approach the stairs. I smile.

"Thanks, but next time, how 'bout letting me walk with my own two feet rather than being dragged." I joke. We head down and pay our fares to reach the platform. On the platform, we find a bench to sit on while we wait.

"Jaz, don't be discouraged. That judge was a douche-bag. We'll get that restraining order revoked somehow, don't you worry."

"Sure, but how? I just don't see a way."

"We'll figure something out." I let out a sigh as Nora rubs circles on my back. She's like a sister to me sometimes. The screeching of brakes and the gust of wind tells us that the subway as arrived. Nora and I dash to the nearest entrance and board the train, aiming to get a seat. Seven stops later, we force our way off the train and on to the platform. Staying close to each other, we make our way up to the surface. A block away, ahead of us, is teh famous central park. It took us another ten minutes to get there.

Nora and I chose to sit in the shade, under some rather large maple trees, facing the pond. All the different kinds of wildlife like the different species of birds, the turtles, the chipmunks and the squirrels has us captivated until a girl about our age walked up to us.

"Excuse me, are you Jasmine Hoffman?" She asked.

"Uh, yes. That would be me." I reply surprised.

"Hi, I'm Stephanie. I saw your performance at the Madison Square Garden a few nights ago at Rachel Platten's concert. You were amazing!! " She squealed.

"Oh, thanks!" I respond, happily.

"Speaking of Rachel, I heard that someone filed a restraining order against you." She says. Nora and I looked at each other in surprise and confusion.

"How'd you know?" I ask.

"The judge or 'Justice'  in charge of your case happens to be my father."
