Conor's Point Of View

Screaming.

All I could hear was screaming, shouting and begging.

At nighttime in Brighton, it's never this rowdy only a few drunkards stumbling from stag and hen parties or a lads night.

Then I looked to my left, as I was driving by was a girl.

Standing at the edge of the cliff, which lead all the way down to a ice, cold ocean.

I slammed my foot onto the brakes, a little too pressured.

Then I unplugged my seatbelt and jumped out my car, to see that she has already jumped.

Running to the edge and taking a leap, hopefully I don't hit the rock.

Luckily I make it into the water, the salty water stinging my eyes and being ice cold.

I dipped underneath taking a breath and a few strokes to get to her.

Pulling her up, struggling to keep myself above the water.

Gasping for as much water as I can, as I start to not be able to feel my fingers.

Paddling really quickly over to the sand, which wasn't too far but it was too far,

Heaving my legs to paddle, they started to freeze up but I pushed myself across the water and got into a quick swimming pace.

Making it to the shore, about a few minutes later.

Everyone packed onto the beach and on the roads to see the event, ambulances were coming and police cars.

I was nervous for a girl that I don't even knows life, how ironic and cliche is that?

"Clear this area!" A voice calls through what I think is a megaphone.

Then everyone piles onto the road, I don't move as I can barely feel my legs, not even thinking about moving them.

"Sir, I requested everyone to clear this area." A police man stated, as two doctors from the ambulance performed CPR on the girl.

"You see. I would but I cannot feel my legs as I was in the water saving the girl." I told him, he simply nodded speaking into his walkie-talkie.

This wasn't the trip to Brighton I expected.

Authors Note
This is a quite dramatic first chapter, I know! I think this is more of an original idea for a fan fiction. Especially at the beginning, but anyway I hope you enjoyed this chapter. I'm going to update every Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday whenever I can.
