"Okay, have a great summer!"
Miss Miller said her goodbyes to the whole class when the bell rang, signaling to everyone that summer had officially begun.
But for me, it meant a long summer with my girly cousin Lucy and her obvious gay best friend, Berry, and don't forget Lucy's macho brother Wolf.
God, can there be anyone who suffers more then me right now?, I thought seeing everyone cheering and laughing while they ran out the door, for them there was nothing better then to be able to go from school early and to know that summer has just begun!
I walked out of the now empty classroom, pulling my blue hoodie over my long black hair and had my black book-bag over my shoulder.
I was wallowing in self pity and couldn't believe that I was the only one in "Seaside High", who was going to have a really god awful summer. But then something caught my eye.
I took a step back and looked to my right and couldn't believe what I was seeing!
I saw Jake Reynolds, the biggest and most famous heartbreaking player of all of "Seaside High" and who also happens to be the most meat headed sports jock that probably ever lived!
Considering that he is in every sports team at this school, but he was mostly known as the star quarterback.
He was even in the lacrosse team, but now he was with Melanie Spits, the most evil, manipulating and tough-love believer of all the cheerleaders and the captain of the seaside cheerleaders "the seaside squids", also considered one of the hottest girls in the whole school.
And it by the looks of it, it seams that they were having a pretty emotional conversation that can mean a few things, the most likely thing would be ... They were breaking up!
I stood there and kind of stared at Jake who was talking low to Melanie by the lockers, doing some small gestures with his hand and Melanie was running her hand through her now wild and messy hair that showed that she had been doing that a few times,
she had silent tears streaming down her face and to stop herself from sobbing, she put her hand in front of her mouth.
I felt a little better knowing that I wasn't the only one who was going to have a bad summer. Melanie seamed to be begging Jake for a second chance, the way she was trying to put her hands behind his head and maybe even get him to kiss her, so he would give her a second chance. But he of course, just turned his head away and took her hands off of him.
I couldn't help but wonder why they were breaking up, was it because of Melanie and her bossy and stuck up ways?
No, that couldn't be it. She was like that when they first started to date half a month ago.
Maybe he found out that she cheated on him, or she found out that he was cheating on her and he was now explaining 'why he cheated' to her?
No, also not that likely, if anything like that would happen, 'the cheater' would probably avoid the cheated on, you know, run with it's tail between it's legs ...
Both of them had severe relationship problems and didn't like to be in a serious relationship, everyone knew that the only reason that they were dating was because Jake was the star quarterback and Melanie was the the cheerleading captain, it seamed to be normal for the two of them to be together.
I couldn't help but think while I walked to my locker and opened it, thinking it all over.
Jake POV
Thank god that's over, I thought while walking away from the now crying Melinda.
She didn't take our break up to well, she never saw that I didn't want to be in a relationship - Even less in one with her ...
I can't really remember why I started to date her, everyone knew that she slept with any guy behind my back. The thing is - I didn't care.
'Aren't people in relationships suppose to care?' I thought.
I mean, I have seen a few couples in school, even out on the town but ... They look happy. I have never felt happy with Melinda. Or any girl that I have been with.
They all are so ... Busy with themselves and they talk with their friends and drag me along just to have something to show up, like a purse or a new pair of shoes.
When people find out that I broke up with Melinda, they will be saying something like "Dude, WTF! She was so hot!"
or "What's wrong with you man! She was the hottest chick in this place"
All I have to do is tell them that I didn't want to be tied down. That I was a "crazy tail chasing player, a heartbreaker", and I will be that until the day I die.
I
can even brag about how I slept with Melinda and a few of her friends. It wasn't a lie, I just have to say it in a guy way.
When I turned around the corner, to head out of this hell hole they call our school, I saw something that could get me into a better mood. Game on ...
