Callie's POV:
*a couple weeks later*
School is officially over. Today is graduation and Brandon and Ty leave for the base in a week. I'm in my room trying to get ready for the big day. I was never able to stay at a school long enough to feel like it was my school and now that I have been at Anchor Beach, I'm almost sad to leave it... almost. I look at myself in the mirror and start to cry when I see the picture of my mom, Jude, and me.
She was supposed to be here for this. She was supposed to be here for my graduations from high school and college and my wedding and for everything. Yes, I have three great moms to be there in her place, but none of them are the woman that was supposed to be there. I love them, I really do, but it's not the same and I can't help but feel that's is is not how it is supposed to be.
I know that I probably wouldn't have ever even met Brandon if my mom hadn't have died in that car crash, but she was supposed to be here. She was supposed to always be here.
I sink to the floor and wrap my arms around my knees.
I love Brandon and Stef and Lena and Helen. I don't know what I would do without them, but if my mom was here, I wouldn't need them. I feel horrible for thinking like that, but I wouldn't have had to go through the things that I did when she died. I wouldn't have gotten raped by Liam, or pregnant, or lost my baby. I wouldn't have gotten beatings after beatings. I wouldn't have had to grow up so fast. Jude wouldn't have had to suffer either.
"Callie? Dear are you ready?" I hear Helen ask from the other side of the door. I quickly wipe my tears and stand up, smoothing my teal dress.
"Yep, I'll be out in just a second!" I stood up and stared at myself in the mirror. I was wearing a teal dress with a gold design on with matching teal pumps and a gold messenger purse. My hair was curled and my make up was done. I sighed, wanting to wash the thoughts out of my mind and be happy again that I'm graduating.
Ty walked into my room from the bathroom. "What's taking you so long?"
"Nothing. I'm ready." I say as I start towards my bedroom door.
"Don't forget your cap and gown," Ty reminds me. I stop.
"I wasn't," I say as I turn around and head into my closet. Ty laughs.
"Okay. If you say so."
"Shut up. Let's go." He rolls his eyes at me and I stick my tongue out at him.
*at graduation*
"Callie!" I hear moms yell. I turn around to see the whole Foster bunch bounding for me. I can't help but smile at my family. "You look so beautiful sweetie!" Mom (Lena) exclaims.
"Thanks," I say as I hug them both.
"I want a picture of our two little graduates please," mom (Stef) demands.
"We haven't even graduated yet mom. Aren't you supposed to wait until after for all of these picture?" Brandon asks her. He turns to me and says, "they have been taking pictures of me all day. I think they were a little upset that you weren't there this morning so they could take picture of you getting ready, so they took picture of me instead."
"It's a big day and we are proud parents so get over it. Now, get together for a picture." Brandon and I did as we were told. He draped his arm around my shoulder while I wrapped mine around his waist and we smiled for the camera. After like ten picture we were told that they were done, for the time being.
Jude walks in front of me and smiles. "You look really pretty Callie."
"Thanks baby."
"We have to go get our seats so see you guys after the ceremony," moms told us. We nodded and Jude hugged me.
