Red and black

On your walk home, cool ocean breezes chill your spine and send goosebumps up your skin. Zipping your hoodie up to your chin, you focus on the concrete below you and think about Oli. You've never really had a relationship like this with someone...Much less a guy...your thoughts drift off. Only looking up occasionally to cross the street. Something keeps nagging the back of your head, but what is it? The sky is painted a grayish navy that reminded you of running water. The stars poked out like you had once, as a child from behind curtains. You cross five more blocks when you realize it- the red car that has been at every stop light. Sharply, you turn your attention to the hum of a motor coming closer. The red car pulls up beside you. "Took you a while to notice us, loser." A cold voice says. You panic. No, not today, not now, when everything is going right for just once! The light is green at the corner and you make a break for it, your feet slapping the pavement. Your lungs burn.  Cries and shouts allude you as the driver guns the engine. The car is screeching after you now. Everything is blurry. You know you make it to the crosswalk, but something hits your hip... There's red. Red everywhere. And everything just goes black.

Oli's POV

It's been about half an hour since Y/n left when my phone rings. I don't recognize the number, but pick up anyways. "Hello?" I ask. "Hi," the voice on the other end says, "is this...uh, Oli? Y/n L/n had you down as an emergency contact." I'm suddenly shaking. Y/n? "Hello?" the voice asks. "I-uh- I'm still here."

What could've happened?
