We made it to the diner about ten minutes later. It was fairly large in the inside, although it looked small on the outside. While we were driving towards the diner I had text my mother to make sure that I could go. She replied saying that she was at work and that it was okay. I felt relieved she said yes, saying that I had text her when I was already on the way to the diner instead of asking her before I had left.
Currently we are sitting at a booth that is in the back of the diner. Aaron had specifically asked for this booth saying that it was the best one. The lady that sat us here gave us a menu said that there would be a waiter any second to come and take our orders leaving us to ourselves. I took a look down at the menu that the lady had handed me and started to search for something that would satisfy my hunger. I turn the page of the menu and there on the right page was the thing I wanted. My mouth was watering at just the thought of tasting it. I looked up to Aaron to ask him if it was okay for me to get breakfast food although it was the afternoon.
"Aaron is it okay for me to get breakfast?" he looked up from his menu smiled.
"Yes that's one of things I love about this place. It serves breakfast all day." I grinned at him just as the waiter came to our table.
"My name is Chris. I will be your waiter for today. What would you like for drinks?" The waiter now known as Chris asked.
"I would like orange juice."
"Black coffee and I am ready to order, how about you Terri?" Aaron asked looking away from Chris. I nodded in reply.
"I want the Nutella mixed pancakes with strawberries on top please. Oh and instead of syrup could you just smear Nutella on my pancakes?" I was just grinning at the thought of this chocolaty deliciousness. I heard Aaron chuckle before giving his order to Chris. Chris left soon after promising the food wouldn't be a long wait. I noticed Aaron was staring at me and I began to get antsy.
"Did you know that white is not color, but the absence of it?" I asked Aaron resting my cheek on my fist.
"No I didn't. Did you know you're perfect?" it was like his hazel eyes were staring into my soul. This made me even antsier.
"There is no such thing as perfect." I frowned.
"Well if that is the case then you're pretty close to whatever perfect is.", he finally ended his stare by tilting his head to the side and smiling his heart stopping smile. Yep, his smile is never getting old.
"Remember eight-thirty tomorrow!"
"OK, just call me or I'll forget." I said getting out of the car and shutting it, I know I wouldn't actually forget. In fact it will probably be the only thing on my mind tomorrow especially since there no school to tomorrow due to it being good Friday, but I must look like I don't really have too much interest in going to the party with him. This is what I call 'reeling them in'. I heard the driver seat door close not too long after my door closing pulling me out of my trance. Aaron was now standing on the curb in front of me doing that staring into my eyes thing. He was so close our feet are touching. I thought maybe he accidentally stepped to close. So I Stepped one foot backwards to give us some space only for him catch my hips and pull me into him. His head was now bent down and if I just lifted myself on my tiptoes our lips would be touching. 'What are you thinking? He doesn't want kiss you he just giving you a very intimate hug.' I looked up to see the eyes that were once staring into my soul, but are now looking directly at my lips. I moved my hands up to my lips to check if hand any leftover Nutella on my lips. 'Damn those pancakes! They just looked so appetizing couldn't deny them. This is so embarrassing!'
"Why are you scrubbing your lips?" Aaron asked seeming amused.
"I was getting off the Nutella off?"
"Is that a question?" he looked even more amused now.
"No?" I put my head down to avoid any more embarrassment.
"Just so you know there isn't any Nutella on your lips or anything at all for that matter. Have you ever notice whenever we are in these situations and I ask you a question you give me the strangest replies. So I Just can't help, but wait for these moments. They are the highlights of my day. Tell me something. Are you naturally this cute or is it just around me?"
'Cue the blushing.'', my face must be horribly red by now. I felt him lifting my chin with his finger pulling my head back up with his. He was now leaning down more than he was before so now our lips were nearly touching, just one push would do the trick. My heart was nagging me to just inch forward; Dammit even my brain was telling me to do so. I just didn't have the courage to. I mean this isn't just any kiss. This is my first kiss. Don't get me wrong I have imagined Aaron taking my first kiss for the longest time; my dear diary will even tell you so. I just never thought that this would happen. 'Wait is this happening?'
"Shit, did you just pinch me?" Aaron furrowed his eyebrows together I guess really trying to figure out what would give me the nerve to pinch him.
"Um, yes I was seeing if this was real."
"You do realize normally you pinch yourself to make sure right? So now how you do know if this is real?" He asked finally pressing his lips to mine, and all I could think was 'Oh Beegezus'
