Chapter 25

*Skylar's POV*

"Sky you should not go out of your house during the dark hours, okay?", Nina said as she munched on her big, fat Sandwich.

"I'm big enough to handle myself Ninaaaa.. You and Seth behave like an over protective parent to me!", I exclaimed.

All they guys were absent today. They all were freakin' werewolves and had an important meeting with the Alpha and the elders of the pack. This is what Nina had explained to me.

"Sky... you're Xavier's mate and we need to keep you safe! We may have some enemies around and if they know about you, they may try to hurt you!", she said.

I drank my apple juice and threw the small bottle into the dustbin nearby. I did not want to reply anything to what she said. I didn't even know, what to reply to whatever she said.

I mean yeah, okay I am his mate so what the hell?! I am not any damn werewolf nor I am interested in being his mate. He's so rude and angry all the time.

In fact he thinks he's some kind of genius and all around him are dumb. He thought I was a werewolf and he fucking changed into that monster right in front of my damned eyes that night. It is as good as giving me a heart attack! Luckily I was strong enough to see whatever had happened in front of me.

I hated him for scaring me that night. Though I was attracted to him, yes I admit I was attracted to him, but no, this is not going to make me fall in 'love' with him. Nor I am going to marry him or anything, nor I am interested in dating him.

Natalie and Pamelia came to where we were sitting. They asked about where all the guys had suddenly disappeared. Nina told them that the guys had gone out for a small camp picnic sort of thing and we acted like we didn't know much about it.

Pamelia started talking about how hot the guys looked, while Nats and Nina joined in her gossip and talks. Me and Nina realised that we needed to get Pam and Nats hooked up with some guys of our gang.

The girls were sweet and nice. And they wanted some guy in their life who would take them off their feet and all that romantic crap. And, there were a lot of single guys around here!

After the break was over I decided to bunk the next class with Nina who had the same plans of doing so. Pam and Nat went in since they totally did not want to miss anything. Like the studious little good girls.

Me and Nina walked to the back of the campus and sat down. We talked about stuff about her pack or gang or whatever and all about werewolves. I wanted to know more about them, I totally didn't know why but I was interested in knowing more stuff. It sounded interesting.

"Do you have a mate?", I asked.

She stiffened. She looked away and she looked a bit scared or something I couldn't understand. She was hiding something, I knew by the way she played with her fingers.

"Uh-I.. no I don't.", she shrugged.

"C'mon Nin! Don't hide now! I know you do! If you want to keep it secret then no problems, but tell me! I promise I won't tell it to anyone!", I exclaimed. I was excited about this.

She blushed and said hesitantly, "Umm.. okay Sky but seriously don't break your promise cause even Xave doesn't know about this and he shouldn't know about this.", she said looking at me.

I just nodded and told her to spill it all.

"Okay so the day I left you alone? Remember? I went off with- uh- "

"Logan!!!! Omg! He's your mate ?!", I exclaimed with excitement.

She blushed even more and smiled like a totally love struck cupid. She totally did not look like the girl I had met days back. She behaved so love-struck at the moment. She totally did not act like the jolly, jumping, funny looking girl.
