Chapter 1: My sanctuary ruined 

I love nature, I always have. I don't know why, I love the trees, the insects and creatures making soothing noises all around you.

I love being in the woods, it's so peaceful and beautiful. No people making noise, no cars, no man made things. This is natural, grown from the ground over the years to become a beautiful forest.

I think apart of me loves the woods so much is because I'm a werewolf. When I'm out here I feel free and at peace, but eventually you have to come back to reality and worry about everything.

This is my sanctuary, but only for a short period of time. I should be getting back soon because the sun is about to set.

As I sit here breathing in the evening air, I smell an odd scent. A very unfamiliar one, and it's three scents I smell now. Wolves I'm guessing, but I don't know them and they smell like rogues.

That's when I'm on full alert. I hear branches snapping under heavy weight.

I also hear really low growls.

I use my senses to know my surroundings. I need to get out of here quickly before I get attacked.

I instantly shift without taking my clothes off because as you can see I didn't have time and I didn't want them to see me naked.

I sprinted the way to my house, as fast as I could. When I reached my house I immediately shifted back into my human form and ran inside.

Thank God no one was home at the moment because I'm still quite naked. I quickly go to my room and put pj' s on.

I hate this. Now I have to be afraid to go to my peaceful place because of those damn rogues.

I'll have to talk to my dad later about this. Right now I'm just gonna go to sleep.

I feel so tired after that scary situation. Ugh! And I have to wake up for school in the morning.

Just great.

I've been going around school all day with this exciting feeling in my chest, and I have this alluring feeling also. When I walk through the halls I have this urge to go in a certain direction.

There was some kind of pull, and then this amazing scent hits me. It made my wolf go crazy. I just ignore it but I can't take it anymore.

So I skip school. I decide to go home since my parents are dealing with pack stuff. Oh, and I told my dad this morning about how I almost got attacked by rogues last night. He said he would deal with it.

When I arrive home I head to the kitchen to make me some lunch. I start making a sandwich when someone walks in.

"Hey sexy what are you doing here? Aren't you suppose to be at school?" He says with a smirk.

"Don't call me that Derek, and yes I am but I couldn't take being there any longer."

"Ah, I see." He came to stand behind me. His hands are on the counter in front of me, and I'm trapped.

"Do you need any help relieving stress?"

"Ew no, and especially not from you." I only want my mate to touch me. No other guy.

"Stop playing hard to get, you know you want this."

"Just stop trying, cause it's never gonna happen lover boy."

"We'll see about that, and by the way, your dad said that I have to be with you wherever you go now and protect you."

I was shocked. Oh my God this sucks balls. I have to have someone following me at all times, and not just anyone. It had to be this horn dog right here. Anybody but him.

"You don't have to I can take care of myself thank you."

"Oh it's no problem. It's a pleasure to watch your fine ass all day." He kisses my neck and squeezes my butt then he walks out the kitchen.

Damn him. How dare he touch me like that. F*cking jerk. Well I'll tell you one thing.

Once I find my mate, Derek better stop his flirting and such because I doubt my mate will like it.

Anyways I eat my sandwich and head to my room.

I do some homework and when I finally get done with that I get on my laptop for a while.

When I get bored enough I decide to sneak out so Derek won't follow me.

I walk quietly downstairs and tiptoe to the back door. I'm relieved when I make it outside without being heard.

I start walking down the path in the woods, heading to my spot. I know what you're thinking.

Why am I going back after last night? And it's too dangerous. I know that, it's just I love it out here.

And I don't wanna let them stop me from enjoying this beautiful place. I finally reach the clearing.

I sit down leaning against a tree. You know, there's also a big lake near here.

I go there sometimes too instead of here. I start to feel tired so I close my eyes and drift off to sleep.

What woke me up was sensing that someone was watching me. Actually more like three someone's was watching me.

And it's nearly dark. I must've been sleeping here for a few hours. Well that was a big mistake, because right now I'm someone's prey.

I look around, trying to notice any movement, but I don't see any. Plus it's eerily quiet right now, and to me that's the sign of danger.

I stand up and start walking. Then I start running and that's when I hear the sound of paws chasing me.

I look back and see three wolves like I predicted. That's when I trip over a branch and fall to the ground.

I scream due to the pain in my hand from being cut and its starting to bleed.

I turn my body around and they stop and start coming to me slowly, stalking me.

I try to scoot back a little, using only one hand. They start to get closer. Oh God I'm gonna die.

I closed my eyes waiting for the impact. That's when I hear a very deep and very angry growl.

I open my eyes to see a jet black wolf leap to stand above me as if protecting me.

He glares at the three daring them to make a move. When one jumps at him, he leaps in the air before he can get to me and meeting the wolf's impact.

He starts to fight all of them when I stand up to run away from here. I start running for about a minute before something knocks me down, and is on top of me pinning me to the ground. I start to cry and sob because it's hurting me so much with this heavy wolf crushing me.

The wolf stares at me growling. I turn my head so he's not directly in my face. I start squirming but he pushes me harder.

I can hardly breath. I think he was about to bite my neck when the black wolf knocked the wolf off of me.

He went flying into a tree. The black wolf turns around and looks at me with concern in his eyes.

Then I notice the other wolf coming towards him. "Look out." I scream.

He turns in time to meet his impact and they start rolling around everywhere fighting.

I took that chance to run home. He was occupied long enough for me to get away I guess.

When I got home I went to my room and into the bathroom to take a shower and take care of this cut.

I undressed, got in and let the water hit my aching body. I don't know who he was but he saved me, and I think he's my mate, but I think he's also a rogue and that kinda scares me.

Maybe he's different and maybe not all rogues are vicious. I don't know what to think.

I'm so tired. I got out of the shower and got ready for bed. I got under the covers and let sleep consume me.
