Prologue

I woke up to the sound of sirens. Same old, same old. I hopped out of bed and into my uniform, a lime green junpsuit. Not flamboyant at all! I run outside, and my mom is screaming. Usually, she's just sobbing. I guess this was a strange death. She's screaming words, inaudible words. Gibberish maybe. All of the other Seds come marching toward me, with the same green Sed-y clothes and the same grey Sed-y attitude.

"3029. Line up in position. 3029." My sergeant talks in his always calm voice. This is just another normal day. But then I realize.

3 bombs. 0 living. 2 missing. 9 dead.
