Chapter 9

Thomas

Thomas woke up to Dylan carefully stroking his cheek with his soft hands, he couldn't help but to take in Dylan's beautiful features. Everything from his chocolate coloured eyes to his incredible jawline (a/n:ya'll know his jawline is amazing), it was all perfect, he was like those guys you would read about in books.

Thomas realised that he was staring so he quickly looked down with a hint of red visible on his cheeks. When he looked up again Dylan had a similar colour playing on his cheeks making the broken boy show a small embarrassed smile. Thomas felt awfully tired even though he'd actually had a decent amount of sleep, he glanced at the watch standing on the wooden table beside the bed, 11.27am. He'd slept for about 9hours, meaning he'd slept more this night than he had in the last two weeks.

"Dylan", Thomas softly uttered unsure why he felt the need to start a conversation. This made Dylan look at Thomas as if telling him to continue.

"I haven't slept like this in months", Thomas said trying not to burst in tears. This was the first time he'd actually said something about this to anyone.

"Like what", Dylan asked in a way that made Thomas feel like he already knew.

"Like, I don't know just a good night's sleep. A night without waking up a hundred times screaming my loungs out from some nightmare. A night without shaking in fear from my own thoughts. A night without lying awake for 4hours while trying to fall asleep. I haven't felt this safe during the night ever since I got bad again I think.", Thomas tried explaining it roughly with these words. Dylan looked him straight in the eye, as if trying to see wether or not Thomas was hiding something else.

Maybe he was, maybe he wasn't.

Or maybe he just wasn't telling the whole truth.
