Its been awhile

Chapter One - Coming Home

"OK, I'll talk to you when i've got off the train" I told my boyfriend Houssein as i saw my train pulling into the station it had been exactly 4 weeks since we had seen each other and both of us were extremely excited to be in each others arms once again.

"Come to mine then after we can go to Five Guys or if you want we can just stay in and order a pizza and watch something on Netflix" He replied as i picked up my backpack and penny board ready to get on my train.

"I'm always down for some Five Guys but pizza and Netflix sounds good too, honestly it will just be nice to see you no matter what were doing.. unless of course your planning on doing something illegal or digging up a grave then i think i'll have to pass" i giggled

"well i can promise you there will be no illegal raves or grave digging. I've missed you so much" he replied i could hear him smiling through the phone

"My trains here so I'll call you later" i told him saying goodbye and hanging up the phone as i got onto my train.

*Twenty Minutes Later*

I got to Houssein's drive way and hopped of my penny board and picked it up making my way to the front door that i missed so much. I knocked on the door and soon enough after a few seconds his mum answered the door and greeted me with a massive smile and smudge came running out (to be honest sometimes i think i might have missed his dog more then him).

"Its so lovely to see you Hayley! Houssein hasn't stopped talking about you he was worried the Australian heat would be too much for you pale British skin" She laughed as she helped me with my bags and walked into the kitchen with me. " Can i get you a cup of tea?" she asked politely

" Yes please, i would love one they don't have very nice tea in Australia" i laughed sitting down at the kitchen table and watched Smudge curl up on the floor next to  me. I can't begin to think how much i've missed this house so many happy memories with Houssein and his family happened here they welcomed me so lovingly into their family.

"I'm not sure if i'm supposed to tell you this" His mum began as she passed me my cup of tea "but Houssein has been working on something for you while you were away, he's just got out the shower so he should be down here in a second he wanted to look good for you when you arrived" She smiled and continued to do the washing up while i sat merrily drinking my tea and playing with Smudge as we talked about my trip to Australia and what i got up too.

Then i heard them. The footsteps i've come to love i could recognise them anywhere it was Houssein coming down the stairs a giant smile covered my face as i saw my flat haired boyfriend turn the corner and enter the kitchen. I guess he remembered that i liked it when he had his hair flat.

"HAYLEY!" He shouted as he saw me looking up

"HOUSSEIN!" i ran up from my seat and wrapped my arms around his neck he then picked me up and spun me around in circles his familiar scent surrounding me, i loved his body spray it was one of my favourite smells along with his bedroom that smelt like fresh sheets and body spray.

"Hayley i've missed you so much" he said into my shoulder not daring to let go of my waist "How was Australia?"

"It was incredible but i got sunburn on my thighs" i said pulling my shorts up a little bit "i've missed you too" i smiled back at him taking in the feeling of being in his arms that i missed so much. Before i knew it he grabbed my backpack and my hand and began to pull me upstairs to his bedroom.

"I have something to show you" he said pulling me

I looked to his mother thinking this was probably the surprise she had told me about she didn't look at us for very long just long enough to see us seeing each other for the first time in weeks.

When we reached his bedroom i immediately climbing under his soft, fresh smelling bedsheets as he grabbed his guitar and sat next to me on the edge of his bed

"I know its cheesy and a bit typical but i wrote a song for you while you were away. i hope its not too cliche" he admitted shyly

"AWWW! Thats so cute.. even if it is a big cheesy i'm sure ill love it!" i reassured him

He began to play then started to sing. I was shocked, i had never heard him sing a song like this before it was more slow and meaningful then any of his other songs he has written (not that I dint love his other songs). It was beautiful. Before i could do anything about it i realised that i had tears welling up and a single tear had fallen down my cheek. He looked at me not knowing what do do and if it was happy tears or if he had done something wrong.

When he finished playing i wiped the tears off my cheeks and leaned over and hugged him tighter than i had ever hugged anyone before I felt so lucky to have him and be able to call him mine.

"Are you ok?" he asked concerned

"Yes, i'm more than ok Houssein. Nobody has ever bought flowers for me let alone wrote a song for me before. Before i started dating you i didn't really have anyone that i could go to if i needed a friend or if i felt lonely" i started to cry again.

"I love you Hayley" he said quietly laying next to me

"I love you too Houssein" he planted a light kiss on my cheek as i curled up placing my head on his chest for a while we just lay there happy to be next to each other again.

About an hour later we both started to get hungry and in the end we decided it was to late to go and get Five Guys because by the time it would take us to skate there it would be closed and i was still jet lagged from my trip to Australia so we ordered pizza and watched some David Dobrik videos on youtube and a film on Netflix until we were both ready to go to sleep.

We both got ready for bed and cuddled up to each other and went to sleep. Normally I have trouble sleeping due to my anxiety but when Houssein is there i know I'm always going to have an amazing sleep.
