One and Only

Mondays, the day I hate the most of all. Waking up at six-thirty in the morning for the first day of school is always the hardest. You have to wake up early to make sure you look your absolute best! But the real struggle is going back to school after having a great summer vacation. Anyways it's the first day of school and I'm excited to see my best friend and my boyfriend even though i just saw them like three days ago. Tyler and I have been together for a year, we met as juniors in high school, we are now seniors and I'm ready to graduate and get out of this place already! I plan on attending Harvard and becoming a lawyer. That's been my dream since I was in elementary school.  "Omg I missed you so much!" Emily screamed across the parking lot. I turned around and seen my best friend since kindergarten running towards me. Emily was the most important person to me, she's always been my right hand man. Emily is gorgeous, she has long brown naturally wavy hair with the most beautiful big brown eyes you've ever seen.  "Hey" I manage to say before she nearly knocks me over. "I've  missed you so much, " she says to me with the most serious look on her face. "Emily its literally been three days since the last time you saw me!" I tell her with a sarcastic grin. "I know this but it feels like years in best friend time though." "Child you're a whole mess!" I tell her as I spot my boyfriend walking towards us after getting out of his truck. "This I know but what I don't know is how you got so lucky to be with someone like Tyler!" Emily says while dreamily laying her head on my shoulder staring at my boyfriend. "Hi babe, I've missed seeing your face!" He says planting a loving kiss on my forehead. "I've missed you to love bug." I say smiling at him with pure joy. we begin walking towards the front door of the high school breathing in the fresh warm air. "Our last first day" I say out loud but quietly to myself  with a small smile. High school has been so bitter sweet for me honestly. As a freshman I didn't really fit in because I was the kid without a dad and a single mom, who was never home. My mom was always on business trips making sure she could keep a roof over my head and food in my stomach, so I spent the majority of my time with my other best friend Harry, who became the brother I never had and I'm so glad I have him honestly. He is the protector I never knew I needed. Harry helped me get through all the drama of the last three years and has kept me sane. Walking towards the door a kid on a skateboard came zooming through without paying attention and almost hit me. He jumped off his skateboard and picked it up before he hit me. "I'm sorry Brazlynn, I wasn't paying attention" he says in a thick Irish accent. "How do you know my name?" "I'm friends with Harry, he talks about you all the time. He and I met at music camp over the summer." "I'm sorry I didn't catch your name?" I said as this complete stranger knew my name and my best friend and yet I knew nothing of who he was except that he had the most beautiful sapphire blue eyes and gorgeous blonde hair. "The names Niall, Niall Horan" he apologized one last time and walked away with a small smirk on his face. "I'm not a fan of that guy." "He was dreamy!" Emily and Tyler said at the same time. I just smiled and continued walking towards the front door with a smile on my face. This was my last first day of high school and I wasn't going to let anything ruin it, not even a handsome Irish boy on a skateboard.
