I wait outside the door for too long. They should have found her. She should be in my arms, while I brush her tears away and tell her it's alright. She should be telling me what happened and why she was gone for so long. This isn't happening. So where is she?
"Miss Crounch?" A man breaks my thoughts. I look up, brushing away my tears. He looks solemn.
"Did you find her?" I ask. My voice is cracking. I notice the dryness in my throat. I look at the clock and see I've been here for over seven hours. He nods. Hope fills my heart. I jump to my feet.
"Where is she?" He looks at his feet, "we... We found her in the mall. She was lying in a change room in Ardene."
"Is she alive?" I can barely get the words out.
He shakes his head. I start sobbing.
"We believe she had a seizure." I shake my head. No. My daughter is alive. She's fine. She's healthy. No. No. No.
