One random afternoon in Mobius, Sonic the Hedgehog was running with the wind. It was a beautiful day and he was on a special mission. Tails had sent him on a mission to figure out what Eggman's been up to. He soon arrived at Eggman's base. He looked at his wristwatch communicator. "Tails, are you there, buddy?" said Sonic in a whisper. After a short pause, he came in, "Yeah, Sonic. I'm here." "Cool. I'm at the base." "Okay, Sonic, I need you to listen." "I'm all ears, buddy." "I need you to get inside. First, just simply and politely ask to get inside, if they say no, then you hit them, okay?" "Yes, I understand. Why are you acting like I'm only 5?" "Because sometimes you're a bit reckless." "Okay, go on." "Okay, then you're going to go inside and find Eggman. Do whatever it takes, which means you can now be reckless. Then, see if he has kidnapped Amy." "What?! He has Amy?!" "Sonic! Keep it down! And I haven't seen her in a couple of days." "Tails, why didn't you tell me sooner!?" "Why does it matter?! I thought you didn't like her!" "Aww man! I gotta save her." "Sonic, don't forget the-" Before Tails could finish his warning, Sonic shut him down. He was filled with anger now. He stomped up to the door and practically yelled at the bots to let him in. Of course, the bots being sensitive, denied the entry, and Sonic broke both of Eggman's toys.
He ran inside and talked into the communicator again. "Tails, come in," he said while running. "Sonic, what happened?" Tails asked concerned. "I'm in. I'm going to look for Amy." "No! Find Eggman first, then Amy. I dunno why you're making such a big deal about this." "Tails, I'm sorry, but I have to find Amy first, if I can." "Sonic, no! Stick to the pl-" Sonic hung up on Tails again and accelerated. "I don't care about Egghead, I just want Amy safe," he said to himself. He searched every room, every hallway, and every jail cell, but he couldn't find her anywhere. "Where is she?" "Sonic! Did you find her?" asked Tails through the communicator. "No, not yet, I'm starting to get worried," said Sonic. "Did you check the control room?" "No, that's where I'm headed now." "You should've checked there first, that's what I've been trying to tell you." "Tails, I don't wanna hear it. I'll talk to you when I'm done." "Okay, well, no need to be smart, Sonic. Good luck though." Tails ended the call and Sonic zoomed to the control room.
"So, we meet again, hedgehog," said the bald, over-sized, old man sitting in a cup-like chair turned away from Sonic. Sonic growled as he looked around. "Egghead, what have you done with Amy?!" Sonic exclaimed. "Oh, nothing...unless you count torturing her and starving her as something." "Eggman! What are you trying to do? Are you trying to kill her?" "Sonic, you should be thanking me. I'm finally doing you a favor. I'm destroying the one thing that's annoying to you." Sonic whimpered knowing Eggman was right. Amy always bothered him by asking him to marry her, and killing him with her death hugs, and chasing him until her legs gave out. "You know I'm right," Eggman added. "You....you're right....she is annoying. But......I still care for her like she cares for me. She always knows how to cheer me up when I'm down. She always makes me feel special, loved, and cared for. And she has the biggest heart I've ever seen, and I can't let that big heart stop beating. So, we can do this the easy way or the hard way. Your choice, Eggman." Eggman sighed as he pushed a button on his chair. The wall in front of him lifted and revealed the passed out pink hedgehog on the floor. "AMY!" Sonic yelled. She didn't budge. "EGGMAN!!!!! You killed her!!! Do you know how much it hurts me to say that!!!???" "Calm down, hedgehog," said Eggman. "Calm down!? CALM DOWN?! You're telling me to calm down?! How am I supposed to calm down!?!" "Hedgehog, she's not dead!!! She's asleep! Now, take her or leave her!" Sonic looked at the back of Eggman's bald head as he started walking to Amy. He knelt down, scooped her in his arms, and got back up. "She feels......so cold," said Sonic, "You sure she's just passed out?" "Hedgehog, I know when one's dead and when one's passed out," said Eggman, "She's just passed out. Now get outta here!" Sonic obeyed and zoomed to Tail's house.
"Tails, I'm back," said Sonic once he walked inside. He set Amy on the couch. "Tails?! Are you in here!?" Sonic looked around the house. He checked the garage, not a trace of Tails. "Maybe he went to go get some more supplies for some kind of invention," he said and he was satisfied with that excuse. He walked back to the living room where he saw Amy still laying there sound asleep. Sonic frowned wishing she'd wake up. He walked over to her and touched her pink quills. "Amy, please, I need you to wake up," said Sonic kneeling down to her face. Her eyes were closed and her lips were frowning a bit. Sonic sat there until he got bored and made a chili dog to eat.
