That is a POKÉMON.
By looking by it,I'm sure you think that is obvious.
POKÉMON anime.Most of you non-anime fans probably watched it before.As a POKÉMON fan myself...duhhh.But I'm not a kid,so I watch it sometimes.Occasionally...majority of the time..Fine.I watch it all the time.
You might think I'm childish.Ok fine,I might be a little childish.But I can't agree if you think anime is childish just because of Pokemon.So I will argue for the rights of anime(and because I watch them all the time really like them)
Firstly,what is an anime?
Basically,anime is Japanese animated film.Ok kids,got it?Good.
Now,let's talk about some statements about anime
Statement 1:It animated,so it is childish.
Being animated does not make it childish.Some anime are NOT suitable for kids.Let your 3 years old nephew watch Attack On Titan.I am sure he will not cry.A women being savagely torn into half and eaten by a gigantic beast?Kids these days will love it!
Statement 2:The plots are stupid
The only stupid thing is you.I guess One Punch Man's plot is dumb and stuff...the story is just a man who can defeat anything with 1 punch,but watch other animes.Hunter X hunter!Attack on titan!Mob Psycho 100!
Statement 3:The characters have no goal/dream etc.
That is not true.Unlike cartoons like Southpark and The Flintstone,most anime characters have goals!In cartoons,most episode revolves around what is happening and what the characters do.In anime,most characters have goals.And all the things that happen revolves around that goal.For example,Mob Psycho 100.The main character,Mob(it's not his real name,I'm too lazy to write it out.Mob is his nickname),have a goal- living without depending on psychic power(FYI mob is an esper who knows telekinesis).And things that happened revolved around it.He was in the body improvement club because he wanted to find other beauty of him other than his power.The enemies he faced were all espers who thought they were unique as they have those power.That led them to fight Mob but he,as stated above,wanted to live without depending on psychic power,and thus don't want to use it.The enemy will then force Mob to use his power(which cause most of them to be defeated).Everything that happened revolved around his goal.
He has a dream too.He wanted to be with his crush(too lazy to write the name,I am sorry).This is really important,as his goal partly due to his dream.As quoted by him"Having psychic power does not make you attractive".He wanted to impress his crush.At first,his crush was really interested in his power,but eventually got bored of it.Thus,he wanted to have other gifts(Like having muscles,thus joining the body improvement club).
By the way,if you haven't,WATCH MOB PSYCHO 100 NOW!It is a really amazing anime.
