The scene opens up on stage. Esmé is practicing her lines. A door slams shut to her right and she stops. Natalie enters the theater to her left.
Natalie: Everything alright?
Esmé: I'm fine.
Natalie: Are you sure? I could-
The lights in the theater go out. Seconds after, a spotlight shines on the spot next to Esmé, who reaches her hand in, but quickly pulls it out.
Esmé: Go. NOW!
The two run out of the theater.
