"Kageyama...?"
"Thank you..." Kageyama said quietly.
"Are you all right...?"
Kageyama raised his head. Hinata saw the tears falling down Kageyama's face.
Kageyama nodded slightly. Then, he smiled. A genuine smile. Not a fake smile he gave to someone to make them like him, but a real smile that came from his heart.
"It tastes exactly like my mother's," Kageyama said, still smiling. "Hinata, thank you."
"Your mother's? But I thought..." Hinata trailed off.
"Yeah, but when I was young, my parents were happier," Kageyama continued. Hinata's mother had disappeared into the kitchen to get something, and Natsu had followed. Hinata and Kageyama were alone in the living room. "And for my tenth birthday, my mother made me a chocolate cheesecake just like yours."
Hinata's eyes widened. He just thought Kageyama preferred cheesecake.
Kageyama took another bite. "Thank you, Hinata..." he said again.
"Y-you like it...?"
Kageyama nodded, smiling brightly.
"Kageya–"
Kageyama couldn't help it. Hinata was too cute sitting there and staring at him.
Kageyama leaned in and pulled him closer, placing his lips softly on Hinata's. Much to Kageyama's surprise, Hinata kissed back.
The kiss was short but sweet. When they pulled away, Hinata and Kageyama were both blushing furiously.
"Woah!! Hinata has a boyfriend!"
Kageyama and Hinata both swung their heads around as fast as they could to find Natsu standing in the doorway.
"Ahh! Natsu, wait!!" Hinata stuttered, but it was too late. Natsu had already announced it to her mother.
"Hinata... I'm so sorry-"
"D-don't apologize, Kageyama!" Hinata said quickly. "I... I really liked it..." he said quietly.
"Hinata..." Hinata's mother said slowly, peering around the door. Then, much to both Hinata and Kageyama's surprise, she smiled. "You kids have fun," she smiled, disappearing back into the kitchen.
Kageyama and Hinata blinked in surprise. They stared at each other for a while until they finally comprehended the situation. They sat in silence for a while before Hinata spoke again.
"C-could we... do that again...?"
Kageyama smiled and nodded, leaning in. Their lips met again. It lasted longer this time, and was even more enjoyable.
Both pulled away, blushing yet again.
"H-Hinata...?"
"Yeah?"
"Will you... be my boyfriend?"
Hinata immediately grinned from ear to ear. "Yes!" he said, throwing his arms around Kageyama's neck and hugging him. The impact caused Kageyama to fall down with Hinata laying on top of him.
Hinata giggled and rose up, sitting on Kageyama's chest.
"G-get off dumbass," Kageyama said, embarrassed.
Hinata stood up and tried to help Kageyama up by giving him a hand, but Kageyama almost pulled Hinata back down when he tried to stand up. They laughed as Kageyama stood up.
Kageyama was still holding Hinata's hand from when Hinata had attempted to pull him up, so he pulled Hinata into his chest and hugged him tightly. Kageyama rested his chin on Hinata's head.
"Hinata?"
"Yeah?"
"Why did you... give me happiness? I'm a murderer..."
Hinata looked up to meet Kageyama's gaze. "You're not a murderer, Kageyama. That's just your job."
