I was suddenly awakened by my nightmare. I knew we shouldn't have watched The Conjuring but Cry was so convincing when it came to watching scary movies. The best part for me was that I could curl into his side and have his arms wrapped around me. Even though I knew the movie was fake, it still scared me to death.
I sat up and hugged me knees to my chest. It was colder than I thought, just being in a tank top and pair of underwear, so I got out of bed and pulled one of Cry's hoodies out of our dresser. I climbed back into bed and felt around my side for Cry.
"Babe," I whispered shaking his arm.
I heard a muffled groan in response so I shook him a little harder.
"Babe please. I can't sleep!" I insisted knowing that I was being a baby.
His eyes opened revealing two perfectly blue orbs in the moonlight. When he saw me with the terrified look on my face he instantly sat up and pulled me into his chest.
Rocking me back and forth he slowly began massaging my back.
"It's ok sweetie it was just a movie. I'm here don't worry, I would never let anything happen to you." He said as he kissed my head.
I pulled back and looked into his eyes. I could see how tired he was from editing all day and it made me sad. He slowly bent down to give me a soft kiss on my lips. Even after just waking up in the middle of the night his lips still were absolutely perfect. As he pulled away he chuckled deeply.
"You're such a baby." He said as he grinned brightly down at me. I smiled back up at him before a sudden yawn took over my body. I stretched out then cuddled back into Cry's chest.
"Now let's go back to bed baby." He said as he laid back down again. He began running his fingers through my hair and before I knew it I was back asleep in his protective arms.
