Dammit, I thought to myself as i bent to pick up the phone I'd dropped. Of course I'd drop it when I so honestly just wanted to get home as fast as possible. It was currently ten o'clock at night, and technically I wasn't supposed to be out of my house right now but I didn't really care.

I straightened my body and for the third time in the last five minutes, I glanced around me. I was currently waiting for my friend, Tory, to pick me up. I sighed through my nose and because I was so creeped out in this part of town at night, I decided I was just going to walk back home. My house wasn't that far away and was very hard to miss when you got within a few block radius. My parents were quite rich and had our house built all by itself on a small area just on the good part of town. I,of course, was allowed whatever, whenever I wanted it. Except a new car because I had gotten into a crash with it. Oops. Oh well. But the only reason I got what I wanted was so that they didn't have to bother with me.And that was perfectly fine by me given that they were assholes.

I sighed and began walking home. As i got closer to the end of the street I began to hear voices. Me being the most stupid and curious person in the world turned and walked right towards it. I turned the corner and walked slowly down the alley, making sure to keep quiet. As I got closer I saw three men. Two men stood in front of another guy with a gun in each of their hands. Then, before I could even take a step backwards, the man fired the gun.

I stumbled backwards, lost my balance and fell to the ground. When i pushed myself to my knees there were two sets of eyes on me.

"What the-," the man with grey eyes and brown hair started, and glanced at his partner who had small brown eyes and light brown hair. A noise from down the alley startled all of us and when the men glanced behind them I took the opportunity to get the hell out of there. Stumbling to my feet, I took off at a sprint down the alley. I heard one of them curse before taking a few running steps after me.

The only thing I could think of at the moment was Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit, oh shit, oh shit, OH. MOTHER. SPANKING. SHIT! I WOULD NOT DIE BY CREEPY EYED GUN MEN!

I kept running and made a sharp turn out of the alley. I slowed my pace to a walk, trying not to look too suspicious, and saw the silver volkswagen pull up to the sidewalk. I quickly hurried over when the footsteps a bit behind me. I threw open the door and got inside.

Tory glanced at me, her hazel eyes holding confusion. "Verissa, what-" I cut her off trying not to sound too pushy and told her to drive. She frowned and thankfully didn't question me the entire drive back to my house. I quietly got out and walked into my house. Somehow I was suddenly in my room and laying on my bed. I closed my eyes and fell asleep thinking about chocolate. Thinking about chocolate helped me calm down so I kept thinking about it until I passed out.
