Everybody knows this right? The reaction for acid and base gives salt and water.
No I'm not going to talk your ear out with any more of annoying science.
Let's just say, this process is called neutralisation - as I learnt it.
So, the salt that we get from this process has to have a balance. Not too acidic neither too alkaline or basic as some say. Same goes for water.
If you look closely, these are the two elements which are most important in our day-to-day lives.
Without salt, we end up spitting out most of the food with a sour face.
Without food, we spit out health.
Without health, well, do you even need me to tell you what?
As for water, our whole (for me 72% is more than enough to be whole ) freaking body is made up of it.
So the baseline is,
We. Cannot. Live. Without. Water.
That said, let's get to the point of my intelligent rant here.
I'm pretty sure you can count the many times when people have asked you to stop being so negative?
Well as opposed to the many times when negative people have asked you to stop being so positive, but whatever.
What I feel is, the best thing in life is to just be neutral. Smack in the middle. On the fence. Blowing hot and cold.
Be creative, call it what you want, but I'd prefer saying neutral
Believe me, like salt and water, neutrality creates wonders in life. It's very, very important today for what the world has become.
When one is sad or depressed, and everyone around is too bright, it's hard to get up and move on.
They tell you to be strong, be positive, look at the sun and not the shadows and all that shit.
But all that is just fake. Consoling yourself that everything will just bounce back to normal miraculously isn't the way you live life.
Don't get me wrong bro, I'm all for beliefs and faiths. But believing in something that your not sure is going to happen isn't really a good solution.
Then again, when you have too much hope and things don't go the way your positivity expected to, it's a really hard blow to the mind.
It's disappointing.
On the other hand, believing that everything won't bounce back to normal is wrong too.
Negativity gets the worst out of people. It's as useless as excess positivity is and isn't really appreciable.
As a matter of fact, it's worse than being falsely positive .
Let's compare things a bit here.
Strong acids and alkalis or bases are equally dangerous aren't they?
But an alkali doesn't do as much harm as compared to acids.
Over here the acid is the bad guy, the Boogeyman, the Frankenstein.
Just like negativity.
And the base is a little, tiny bit less bad guy, Boogeyman and Frankenstein as compared to acid.
Like false positivity.
Note: Being positive is not bad at all, but falsely hopeful and expectant is. Hence, the mention of 'false' positivity.
Tonight's hero is Mr. Neutral.
When your neutral, you don't expect things , you don't fantasize about things that aren't gonna happen. And you don't get disappointed.
Where as you don't conclude that nothing's going to change. That it will always be this way.
There is some hope but not unnecessarily stretched hope.
I say for a fact that it has helped me get through this pinball machine of a life without much pain.
And as they say,
Mr. Neutral saves the day.*********************
