Cry For Real

1::Under The Sea

My vision is blurry. I am struggling to get out of the grip, but it was no use. The air that I am holding in is slowly losing. It's really hard to move under water.

The grip slowly loosen and I can finally see the face. The mermaid boy.

"You know, you can breathe under water" he said with a monotone voice.

I gave him a 'are you crazy' look and he was like standing there looking at me and waiting for me to breathe. The air was slowly out and I take a huge gulp of air under water. I almost had a heart attack.

"I can breathe" I talked. OMG is this real?

"Good thing humans eat cherry nuts. If you are not human, you get to eat seaweed to breathe under water." He said. I gave him a disgust look. Seaweed is disgusting.

"Seaweeds doesn't even taste ugly if you are not a human." He grabbed my hand and we slowly swim underwater.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked him. "This lips are sealed" He said with no emotion. I took my time to check the surroundings. Corals everywhere.

"This place is beautiful" I stated. His lips turned into a frown. "Not for long" He whispered. "Why?" I asked, he sighed.

"These corals are color orange, right?" I nodded, he continued. "That means it's dying"

It's my turn to frown. "Why?"

"Some of these days, it wont exist in marine lifetime, it's just sad" He looked at the surroundings, waving his tail slowly.

I gave him a sad smile. Poor corals. Some light thingy came up to us.

"Jake, she's dying!" The creature yelled. I look at it closely. It is like a small blue light with a small picture of a body and a face. I think it noticed me since I'm staring at it.

"She's human" Its gaze landed on my legs and I felt uncomfortable.

"You're scaring her Dallas" Jake ressured. Dallas smirked

"If she is scared, she would panic" He said, glancing at me.

I glared at both of them. "I'm not scared"

Jake laughed. "Says the girl who got scared earlier" He continue to laugh. I'm fuming with anger.

"Aww, She's all blushy wushy over it" He pitch his voice to make it like a baby.

"No, I'm not. I'm angry." I calmed down. A cough interupted us.

"If you wanted to talk, then I'll just leave" Dallas soon started to leave. "Take me to her" Jake ordered, the creature nodded as we followed him.

We entered in sort of a cave. Dallas stop his tracks which made me and Jake stop too.

"What's the matter?" I asked. Dallas faced to me. "We cannot enter in the front since you're human. Mermaids will get the attention" He explained. "We just go around the back"

We entered at the back. Now, we are inside a room with a small flash if light in the center. It's like a bedroom. On the bed, a mermaid sleeping with heavy breaths.

"What happened?" I begin to ask. "She is the keeper of the ocean. That means she owns everything under the sea. Like lights, buildings and stuff. She got this sickness like 3 days ago. She wasn't able to use her abilities. So I am here to cure her since I'm the only mermaid that can do it" Jake said. He went up to a shelf, making whatever is in there.

I faced to the lifeless mermaid infront of me. I slowly reach up to touch her forehead and instantly pulled out. My hand burns like hell. She is so hot.

"I'll be back. Dallas keep an eye on her" Dallas nodded and Jake left.

"Don't move" Dallas ordered and left. Well, this is akward. Standing in the center of the room with a burning mermaid lying on the bed.

I slowly make my way through the shelves, the ones that Jake handed. All different kinds of stuff inside of each jar. I pick up one and observed it. A sudden movement is heard, I turned around. It was just the mermaid stirring on her sleep. I sighed. I accidently knocked the other potions into a pot filled with red liquid, and it instantly turned light red. I quickly put back the thing on the selves just as Dallas and Jake came back.

"What were you doing?" both of their eyebrows raised. I fiddle my hands. "N-nothing. Just like D-dallas said" I cursed myself for stuttering, I just gave them a fake smile.

Jake moved up to the pot with light red liquid. I hope he doesn't notice. He poured some stuff on it, prepared a bowl and poured on it.

"What are you going to do with that?" I asked nervously as he hold out the bowl on his hand.

"Just watch" He made his way to the sleeping mermaid and let her drink the remaining liquid in the bowl. The panic settles me. Dallas eyed me curiosly.

The lights went dark a little. I saw Dallas frowned. "What did you put on it?" he asked Jake.

"I don't know. I swear, I followed the formula" Jake argued back.

I made my way to the mermaid and touch her forehead. "Guys, her temperature went down" I said and both of them frowned.

"I followed everything on the formula. Maybe I put the wrong liquid" Jake panic. Moving back and forth in the room with hands on his hair.

"It's not you're fault" I gave him a sad smile and a hug. He hugged back. We pulled out.

The lights went lighter and lighter for seconds. "What's going on?" I faced the sleeping mermaid that her skin tone is normal. I slowly move towards her and suddenly her eyes wide oye and immediately sat up. I screamed and swam behind Jake.

"She's alive!" Dallas announced with happiness in his voice. The mermaid groan, her blue eyes stared at me.

"What happened?" Her voice is actually cute than I expected. Her eyes roamed around my body with her blue eyes wide.

"Human!" She yelled. She quickly got up and grabbed a sword. My throat hitched. I'm going to die. Jake wrapped his arm around me protectively.

"No, she's not bad. Jullie" His voice is concerned. Jullie slightly moved. "How?"

"She's not going to hurt anyone" He pushed me towards her. My eyes widen. What is he doing? I paused, not going near to her. She slowly move towards me. This is it. I'm going to die. I closed my eyes.

Waiting for something, I feel something contact with my cheek. I almost flinched. I slowly opened my eyes to see her full face. She's so beautiful. She gently toucked my cheek. Something glow on her wrist and she pulled away.

"See, she isn't going to hurt you" Jake said. Jullie smiled at me. "Thank you"

After some celebration, it's time to go back. We swam back to the place earlier.

We reached the surface of real air splash on my face.

"Thank you" He whispered and slowly lean forward and my lips lightly touch his.

"REAL!!!" A shout made him release the kiss. He gave me a bottle.

"Drink it" He said and I obeyed. I drank the liquid and everything went black and I opened my eyes.

I am sitting in front of the lake with my human form. I went to find Jake but I couldn't see him.

"There you are" Peter came in my sight. "I finally found you." He gave me his hand and I grab it and stood up straight.

We walked away from the lake. I turned around to see Jake waving goodbye and I wave him back and muttered.

"Bye Jake"
