The Beauty of space

Chapter 1: The Beginning

It was a dark, late night. There was one lamppost that worked properly, the rest of the alley was dark and it was just like a horror movie. There could be anything watching you from the dark, the alley had a few houses but most of them were empty. In one house lived a single women, some people would think she was creepy and weird because she never left her home. But if they knew the truth they would find her way creepier, this night was the first time she's ever left her home. She had to, she was nine months pregnant and the baby would come any minute now. She opened the front door and took a long breath, she walked out of her home to the only working lamppost in the alley. She waited for her cab to arrive and bring her to the hospital, most cabs wouldn't dare to come in this street because there were rumours about monsters that lived in the dark of the alley. They didn't know by then how right they were, the cab came and took her to the hospital. She walked through the big hospital doors and a nurse saw her and grabbed a wheelchair to help her, the nurse rolled her into a room and laid her in a bed. She told the women to count to ten and breath, she did and when the final contraction came she pushed hard and a few second later she heard crying. She was happy to have a child, but when she looked at the nurse she saw her mortified expression. When she looked down at the baby in the nurses hands she saw why, it wasn't a normal baby. The baby had a normal human body, but his eyes were blue. Not just the irises like most people have, but his whole eyes were blue. She didn't know how that happened, but all she knew was that this wasn't normal and she got no idea how this happened. She decided to name him blue, after the colours of his eyes. She walked out of the hospital and waited for a cab to take her and her son home, when she was home she took care of the baby and ended up loving him.
