Chapter 1:
Christina's POV
I walked down the dark,street as fast as I could trying to get home. "Only a couple more minutes" I said to my self tiredly for the 15th time. I had been walking for hours. I had no idea where I was or which way to go. No, I'm not a runaway I just can't figure out where my new house went.
Flashback:
We had just finished moving all the furniture in to our new huge mansion. "im going for a walk out back" I yelled to my mom knowing that she heard me. I was so tired from moving, so I went to the back of the house and saw a beautiful lake. I relaxed while walking along the edge. Summer was just over so i needed a jacket but it wasn't really cold. I was walking for about an hour or two now. It started to get dark so I decided to go back home, but when I turned around all I saw were trees.
Flashback over:
So now here I am, walking through the woods all alone in the dark. I bumped into something and fell in my butt. Hard. "are you okay." An un familiar voice said to me. I looked up and saw the most hansome boy in my life. Other than my twin brother anyway.
The mysterious guy had dark blue eyes that were barely noticeable in the dark. His hair was light brown and shoulder length. I assumed he had in all black since I couldn't see his body. He held out a pale hand.
"Yes I'm fine I guess, thanks" I said grabbing his hand pulling myself up.
"why are you out so late, its 12:30?" He asked emotionless.
"i just moved here earlier and I decided to walk around but got lost." I said
"Well you'd better ne glad no one got to you." He said
"what do you mean?" I asked
"this might be a small town but three people in this town have been named by law sex offenders" he replying nonthelessly while my mouth hung open "plus my fathers friends cousin went to jail for kidnapping, but there has been none of that for years."
"well you sure scared me half to death" I said in a shaken tone.
"oh I'm sorry, its pretty cold out here" he said taking his jacket off and placing it on top of mine "maybe I can help you get home." He said while leading me were I assumed was out of the forest. I knew my assumption was right when we walked into the streets. I gaped at the beautiful site of the town. It was like a mini Vegas. (except there were no casino's) there were lights flashing bright everywhere.
"By the way my name is Harlem." He said. In the light I could see his dark blue eyes looked even more beautiful. Like the ocean at night.
"I'm Christina" I said still a little dazed.
"wait wait wait, Christina Hayes!! As in daughter of Krissy Hayes Millionaire!?!?!?" He exclaimed.
"yeah so what?" I said not caring that my mom was a millionaire that was always on business trips and never spend time with her children. (Hint the sarcasm)
"Umm no reason" he said noticing that I didn't want to talk about my GREAT mother. "so let's go find your house shall we" he said walking to a silver Mercedes.
"Alrighty, but it shouldn't be hard because its like huge." I said
" is your house that huge house they just built a couple days ago"
"yea why?"
"it used to be a space where I went when I wanted to be alone"
"oh...I'm sorry"
"its okay I guess I mean I can always take a walk through the woods. Like you did." He said laughing
"yea" I said not holding back laughter
This strange guy was really nice. I hope he's a vampire like me.
