Blood splattered onto Wendy's cheek.

The young bluenette's eyes were wide and full of fear. She slowly lifted her head.

"Wendy, you okay?!" Lucy jerked up, grabbing Wendy by the shoulders.

"Lucy-nee, your cheek." Wendy pointed to the bleeding cut on her left cheek.

"Don't worry about me. Are you hurt? Your not, right?!" Lucy asked, beginning to panic.

"No, no. I'm perfectly fine. Just a few scratches." Wendy smiled.

Lucy let out a sigh of relief. Everyone was getting up, brushing themselves off.

"LUUUUCCCYYY!!!!" Erza burst out of a small pile of rubble and sprinted towards the blonde, Gray doing the same.

Erza threw her arms around the blonde and banged her face into her armor-shielded chest as a hug. Gray jumped in next, hugging Lucy from the same side of Erza. Wendy joined in, hugging Lucy's right waist.

Then, Natsu took Lucy into a bear hug, making her stumble back out of everyone else's grasp.

"You scared me, ya airhead..." He squeezed her.

All of her emotions bubbled up to the surface. Her eyebrows turned upwards, her eyes beginning to shake in their sockets as tears built up in her water lines. Her lips quivered.

Her legs gave out, and she fell to her knees. Natsu fell with her, making sure she didn't fall to hard. She shakily put her arms around him and gripped the back of his shirt in her fists.

"Welcome back, Luce."

Tears rushed down her cheeks like waterfalls.

"I-I'm..I'm so--so s-sorry!! I'm so sorry!!!" She wailed, clinging to him like her life depended on it.

Natsu smiled, loosening the hug--not breaking it--, and resting his forehead on hers gently. He placed a hand on the top of her head.

"It's not your fault." He spoke gently, closing his eyes.

She looked up at him with wide, tear gushing eyes; her lips slightly parted.

"He's right, Lucy-nee!" Wendy stepped up.

Natsu moved to the side, letting Lucy see everyone standing and smiling at her, scratches and bruises on their dusty skin.

Erza smiled, her arms crossed. Gray gave a thumbs up. Wendy had tears in her eyes, smiling. Igneel stood next to Wendy, Silver next to Gray.

"Your family, Luce." Natsu spoke, making the blonde turn her head towards him.

"You've got nothing to apologize for." He grinned, offering her his hand.

A blush spread from her ear to the other, tears streaming down her face. The corners of her lips turned up, a small smile appearing.

"Thank you, Natsu."
