It was a cold, moonless night. The fog was so thick I could barely breathe. The air stank of the smell of death. Where am I?
"Anabell!" Someone called through the fog. "Anabell where are you? You know it's not safe outside after dark. Come on, Anabell"
"Mark, Mark is that you?" I replied through the fog. "Mark I'm over here." Then I felt something wrap around my wrist, my heart almost jumped out of my chest until I realized it was Mark.
"Hold tight, okay pull us in." There was a sudden yank I almost lost my grip on him I hugged him tight to me so I wouldn't lose him. More yanks followed the first yank until we reached the house. The house didn't look very impressive. It was your typical two story, low class house, but what set it apart from the rest was the strong presence of magic that surrounded it. The light blinded me as we went inside.
A large muscular figure approached us from a corner of the room. "Where have you been and what's all over you?" Thomas said as soon as he reached us. For the first time I realized I was covered in blood. There was splatters on my nightgown and long white hair.
(Before we continue let me give you a little information on Anabell. She is a 17 year old girl with long white hair. You have already meet her older brother Mark, her dad Thomas, she also has a little sister Cassy and her mother is Mary. Okay now that we have that all sorted out let's continue. )
"I don't know the last thing I remember is going to sleep and when I woke up I was outside and then I heard Mark calling me."
"Are you trying to tell us that you were sleepwalking and you have no idea why you were out there or why the hell you are covered in blood."
"It's the truth. I swear on grandma's grave."
"Okay..."
"Daddy why is big sister covered in blood and why is everyone awake." Said the voice of a small child behind Thomas. It was little 3 year old Cassy in Moms arms. Apparently all the noise had woken them.
"Honey, what's going on what happened?" She put Cassy down and ran to me and looked me over for any damage but she didn't find any, not even a scratch. "Go get washed up and then we will talk more okay sweetheart. I love you." I went into the bathroom and inspected myself in the mirror I was covered in blood from head to foot but what shocked me the most was the fact that even my teeth were covered in blood. I shook the thought out of my mind and cleaned myself up. The blood took forever to get out of my hair since it was white. An hour later I finally came out of the bathroom. I came down the hall and found my parents sitting at the kitchen table whispering quietly and drinking coffee. Cassy was in the living room playing with her toys. Through the curtain the sky was dark but the first light of dawn could be seen on the hill. My dad was the first to notice that I was out. "Look she's alive we were beginning to wonder if you would ever come out of there." My dad said jokingly. "Thomas" My mother said but she couldn't help but smile and shake her head. I felt myself smiling. My teeth back to their normal white. "Come sit and tell me what happened your father is not being very helpful he keeps cracking jokes like always at least it lightens the mood."
"Yep that's Dad for you." I said as I hugged my father around his neck. My dad and I couldn't help but laugh. Cassy came running into the room and threw herself around my leg as if she had just noticed I was standing there. I bent down and picked her up. "Big sister are you okay? What happened?"
"Yes. I believe everyone is asking the same question Anabell." My mother said in the tone of voice mothers use to get you tell the truth as if they already know the whole story they just want to hear it from you.
"Like I told dad I don't know what happened. One minute I was asleep in bed, the next I was outside wandering around in the fog covered in blood, then Mark found me. That's all I know. Speaking of Mark is he in bed?"
