You had always dreamed of a place, were things are a bit odd. Doors would be so small, a mouse could hardly squeeze through. Eating things would change your height. You could be as tall as a skyscraper, or as small as a thumbnail. In this world, animals talked and caterpillars smoked and smoked, puffing colorful exhaust onto your own face. All of these creatures so very, very odd. You were so confused. Until he came along and taught you the ways of Wonderland.

You sighed in annoyance as you realize you were lost. Again. It seemed that every path you took only led you to being frustrated, confused, and lost. If only you could find one descent creature here to help you out. Then, maybe you could enjoy your dream more. So far, it was everyone you had met that has led you to be in a tangle of emotions. They mocked you and ushered you to leave. No one wanted the outsider human girl.

Being so wrapped up in your own thoughts, you failed to notice that you had come across a gate. Only when your knee banged into it, did you snap out of your haze, and look around. Your very own wandering had led you to a slightly run down house, with a long table in the front yard. The table was cluttered with teapots, cups, cakes, sugar, spoons, napkins, anything tea related, was there. The thing that enchanted you the most, were the chairs. So many empty seats. The only seats taken were the two at the very top. Occupying them was a man with golden hair, half hidden by a tall, colorful hat, and stunning emerald eyes. From what you could see, he was wearing a forest green vest and a crisp white undershirt. His companion was a little boy with long, floppy bunny ears. Your stomach suddenly grumbled- probably at the sight of the food- and you rung the bell that was placed on the gate. Surely they have room for one more guest? You almost chuckle at the thought. Of course they-

"Sorry. No more room." You feel your mouth drop as you stare in disbelief at the man. He wasn't even looking your way, just at his teacup as he took a small sip. It had been a long day for you, and you couldn't bear another unkind twat. That in mind, you open the gate and take a defiant seat, causing the man to slam his tea down and glare at you. "No more room!"

You proceed to ignore him as you take a teapot and try to pour yourself a cup. When nothing comes out, you peek inside the pot to find a little field mouse sleeping. You put the pot back. "No. I intend on staying here and enjoying a nice cup of tea! You have plenty of room." The man continued to glare at you, opening his mouth to say something before the little guy on his left tugged on his sleeve. "Pwease let her stay, Artie."

You saw 'Artie's' face soften, as he muttered an audible, "fine." He then snapped at you, "It's Hatter, to you."

"That's alright with me!" You said with a flashy, teasing grin and picked up another kettle and, with checking to make sure it is filled with tea, not mice, finally pour yourself a cup. You take a tentative sip and instantly relax at the sweet taste. It goes on in silence for a while, before the little bunny boy speaks up. "It's been a long time since anyone has had any tea with us. Everyone usually leaves and calls Arthur mad!"

Arthur coughs on his tea and shushes the little one. "Quiet, Alfred!" You chuckle and give 'Alfred' a small smile. "Well, you're the first one who invited me to stay anywhere in this crazy place. I don't intend on leaving soon." Arthur seems a bit shocked upon hearing this, and holds out a teapot.

"More tea?" He then offers you a sympathetic smile, and you instantly know that this is the start of your beautiful friendship with the Mad Hatter.
