Akin tensed as he saw Damon. Damon glared at him. " You have just made the biggest mistake you will ever make." Damon threw me to the ground and I fell against the cold dirt below. The dirt smudged on my face leaving streaks of dirt. I looked up and saw Damon sitting on top of Akin throwing fists at the man. Akins back legs were becoming furry and Damon fell off of Akin, the wolf. I never had the chance to look at the beautiful wolf he was.His fur was such a sleek black and his golden eyes looked at me before returning to Damon, not to mention he was one of the biggest wolves I had seen. He was about 15 - 16 feet tall. I was reminded of my first time ever being with Akin when he had trasformed in front of me. He swatted Damon into a tree with his big paw. Damon flew and bark shattered to the ground surrounding him. Akin lifted his head and howled. I looked up and remembered that it was night time all the time. Damon fell to the ground, but quickly regained his stance and charged at Akin. Akin lowered his head and was quickly attacked by the strong grasp that Damon could provide with his arms. He held on tight as Akin swung his head trying to get rid of the one who was choking him.
Damon fell to the ground as Akin stomped on him. All I could do was stand there, staring at the wolf and the vampire fighting. What was I supposed to think of Damon or Akin? I was lured into Damon as Sapphire, but Rose saw him completely different. She saw Damon as a terrible being but saw Akin as a kind hearted creature. As she gazed into her thoughts she was soon nearly knocked to the ground if it weren't for her instant reflexes. She quickly grabbed a hold of Akin tossing him to the ground and standing between the both of them.
"Stop it! Now!" I shouted. Damon stared wide eyed at me and Akin let out a snarl.
"What's wrong with you! This is a werewolf! He'll kill you." Akin glared at him releasing another snarl. He tried to leap over me to attack Damon, but I leapt into the air slamming my foot with a kick into his chest sending him back to where he was on the ground.
"You boys are acting like children." I exclaimed in irritation.
"He forced you here! Guinevere's orders are to kill or harm anyone who hurts you." Damon snarled, his eyes locked on Akin.
"Akin, didn't hurt me!" I was furious. Was this the way of the Nightworld? I quickly scurried to Damon's car which was a mistake. I was the only think keeping those two from hurting each other. They broke out into a fight again. I threw myself over the door of Damon's car and scrambled for the keys. I looked everywhere only to learn they were in the ignition. 'Click'. Both of their heads turned to look at me. I revved the engine. A smirk played across my face. Damon glared. Akin snarled. "Ya'll can find me when you know how to be mature. " With that I swerved and sped off.
"Sapphire! No!" Damon shouted, but his voice was muffled and quieted as I sped away. I soon reentered the streets of the Nightworld. I never noticed it before but the building where I had been staying was really a castle. I parked his car out front and entered the castle, chuckling to myself. I flung his keys against the wall and headed to the stairs only to be met by the footsteps of Dezeree.
"Welcome back." She gracefully brushed past me taking a look outside. She turned around and looked at me with a very concerned look on her face. "Where's Damon?" Sapphire's supposed to be a bitch right? Then I guess she should take over.
"Not here. Obviously." I chuckled at my words. Dezeree raised a brow. Her black eyes stared at me, and I stared right back. She then burst into laughter. Were we not just having a serious moment? I was confused.
"You left Damon, and took his car?" She was laughing her ass off and could hardly spit out the words. it seemed like she choked on each one.
"Yeah, because he was fighting a werewolf and--" Dezeree cut me off. Her laughter was gone in a heartbeat.
"You.. left Damon... with a mutt?"
"Damn right!"
"Are you fucking insane! Who? Who was he with!?" She was worried and the sudden mood change didn't do much for me.
"Akin."
"You left him with Akin!" The doors behind her burst open. A smile played on my red lips. Damon. I was shoved out of the way by Dez. My smile soon turned to a frown. I glared at her as she threw herself at Damon, only to be thrown down to the ground by his arms. She laid there on the round rubbing her head as I held in a laugh.
"You... took my.. car. You bitch!" Damon zoomed forwards throwing a fist, hitting me in the gut, sending me to the ground.
"Hypocrite." I mumbled under my breath. I quickly leapt up with a major adrenaline rush. My body pulsed with energy. I'm royal? And my "guard"? Well he just punched me! So much for protection. "I think it's time for you to learn your place, Damon." With that my leg lifted kicking him in the stomach sending him flying out the door. I listened for the 'oomph' and instead heard a car alarm. He had hit his car. Damon rushed back inside. His muscles flexed, his eyes burned in anger. Genevieve and Abbie came from a seperate room, confused at all the commotion. I stared at Damon, and he did the same.
"First you steal my car, then you kick me into it? Not in my town bitch." Damon snarled every word. I smirked. This is Guinevere's town, not his. He ran at me, throwing a kick but I caught his leg. Some random words slipped into my head and trickled off my tongue. My hands started to heat up. Damon winced. My hands had begun to burn his leg. "Sapphire... stop. I understand. It won't happen again." Was this brute submissing himself? He growled as the pain surged through his pale body. I shut my mouth and threw him against the wall.
"Damn right! Learn your place asshole." I movd past my stunned sisters. Their expressions were hilarious. I zoomed up the stairs to a random bed room. The door slammed behind me and I fell onto the bed, tears streaming down my face. What had I become? Where did my innocence go? I've never fought anyone in my life and I just kicked one of the most strongest fighters in the nightworld. The unbeatable damon! I gasped as someone touched my shoulder. Who the hell had approached me? I turned my head to meet the violet eyes of Guinevere. I tried to choke my tears back and hide but she pulled me into an embrace. I missed my mother and she held me like she did. I sobbed in her arms. Her long ginger hair flowed down her back and over her shoulders.
"Sapphire." Her voice was soft but yet it had power. The tears stopped.
"...Yes?" My voice cracked.
"There is a way back to the human world. I didn't tell you because I thought you may never return here. You're my daughter, so you'd have to return every night in the human world." I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I could see my mother once again!?! "But--" Oh how I hate the dreadful 'but's'. " you have to stay here for a bit longer. You have duties to fulfill." She released me and pulled away. "Be a nightworlder. Once you've learned the ways of the nightworld, you may go back to the human world." Inside I leapt with joy, but I gave a simple nod. Guinevere turned and left the room, leaving me alone. I headed to the bathroom and stared into the mirror.
Black eyes stared into my soul. Black and red hair fell down my well shaped body. I relaxed and opened my mouth. Blood red lips kissed my fair skin as white fangs poked out. I smirked as familiar arms wrapped around my body. Damon turned me making him face me.
"Blood drips down these black walls. As the blood drips down from her victims. White fangs tinted pink with the everlasting embrace of death." He whispered smiling. Our eyes met and he smelled so good! His lips touched mine and the vampire in me was released.
