(Small scenario)
So many people try to push us down. They say that our tears make us weak. They call us things that we cannot repeat. The taunting gets in our heads, making us ponder that one question:
What
If
They're
Right? We start to fall. Our thoughts turn to ones of self-hatred and ones of hurt.
And the words of bullies don't help at all.
Then one day, we fight back.
Not with punches and kicks, but with the same words they've used towards us.
We've become like them.
We've become a bully.(End of scenario)
People can be exhausting, period. Sometimes we don't even want to go outside of our bedroom door because of the whispers and rumors that people can aim towards us. They may even physically hurt us as much as they do mentally, causing us to return home with not only a hurting mind, but with a bloody and broken body.
And yet, Jesus asks us to be kind to them.
It's very confusing, isn't it? Unlike the old saying, "Love those who love you and hurt those who hurt you.", He asks us to show them kindness and pray for them.
It's hard, it really is. Because of the lies they have told others about us, the words they have spoken to us, and the things they have done to us, it makes it hard, impossible almost.
But God helps us with it."For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges." - Deuteronomy 32:31 KJV
The ones who persecute us, their rock is their feelings towards us. It is what they cling to that makes them feel this way towards us, whether it be a memory, a feeling (such as envy or a mean crush), or just a hatred that they cannot explain. They judge us, though they themselves are not blameless and perfect. They mirror the Pharisees from the days that Jesus walked this Earth.
Repay hurt with kindness, beautiful people. Never commit that which they commit unto you, but give them a sweet smile and always offer your assistance and love to them.
I love you all dearly!! God bless!!!!!
