There once was a family. A mother, father, and a brother and sister (the brother, James, is 5 and the sister, Elizabeth, is 7). One day, Elizabeth and James were playing outside.
"Let's go to the forest!" Said Elizabeth, James looked at her as she pointed to a dark forest. He became a little nervous but cast his nervousness aside from her and agreed to go into the forest with her. As they were about to begin, they heard their back door open.
"Lunch time you two!" A sweet voice called out to them, it was their mother. They looked back at her and James smiled and ran up to her. Elizabeth, on the other hand, had a look of sadness on her face.
"What's wrong?" Said their mother, looking tad concerned.
"I wanted to go play in the forest with him!" Elizabeth said, pointing at James before pointing at a brightly lit forest that showed butterflies flying around with birds chirpping.
"You can after you have lunch, alright?" Their mother de ella smiled a bit at her as she ran up to them with a smile on her face. After going in to eat lunch, Elizabeth looked at James and laughed seeing him trying to make funny faces before sitting down at the table to eat lunch.
"What is it?" They both said simultaneously to their mother, who was preparing their lunches.
"Your favorites." She said as she set down corn dogs and fish sticks. They began eating and after they were done, Elizabeth looked at her mother.
"Mommy? Can we go outside to play in the forest I showed you?" She said with a 'puppy-dog face'. Their mother chuckled to herself and said,
"Sure, but be back before dinner. Be safe you two." With that, the kids looked at each other, smiled, got up from the table and left running out of the house to go back outside, leaving their mother to clean up after them.
"Let's go to the forest !" Elizabeth said to James, pointing to the dark forest instead of the bright, happy forest.
"Why that one? What bout the other?" Said James in a little bit of a whiny voice. "
This one looks more fun." She said back to him before grabbing his hand and pulling him to the dark forest. The mother looked out at them for a second, seeing they were going on their little journey and she smiled before going back to cleaning up their messes and waiting for their father to return home from work.As Elizabeth was pulling James with her, he started to try and get free from her.
"L-let me go Lizzy!" James cried out, using the only name he could say easily and clearly. Elizabeth looked at him, stopping in her tracks.
"Don't you want to go play and have fun with me?" She said looking directly at her eyes.
