Sketch's POV:

I don't understand why I was tired. I wasn't the one carrying some one on my back. Though crying took allot out of me and left me feeling sick. Smoke rose filling the sky in many areas. It wasn't just the school that was attacked.

"Sketch.. Before some thing bad happens to us, I just wanna let you know I love you so much, and no matter what happens I'm proud of you for being tough." As he spoke a tear rolled down his cheek, though his facial expression didn't alter. I slowly lifted my hand and gently whipped the tear away. "Thanks buttercup." He smiled and I put my arms around him hugging to his body.

"I love you too my hero" I whispered in his ear. That smile was stuck on his face.

We continued walking for what seemed to be about 45 minutes before stopping to rest outside the towns chick-fil-a. He wrapped his arms around my waist and rested his head on my shoulder. Every once in a while he'd look up at me and meow like the derp he is :3

"Ghosty, what's gonna h-happen to us?" My question lingered in our thoughts for a minute.

"I don't know darling. I'm not sure I wanna find out.." His mind was some where else. "Let's just get outta here"

Suddenly a pan fell in the building. Quickly I shot up, peaking through the window. One of those things was just standing there. It was like it was sleeping but it was hunched over and standing..

"Hey Ghosty.. We need to leave.. NOW." I whispered in a panicky tone.

He quickly stood up right beside me twisting to see what I was looking at.

"I see what you mean now.." He always made jokes when he was startled. We've always called it panic-humor. It always made things less stress full.

Trying not to laugh we slowly backed away. We made it about ten steps before he kicked on tin can sending it rolling and cluttering on the ground. The figure in the suddenly jerking up to meat our gazes.

"Every freaking time.." He hissed. "Let's book it!" He shouted. Taking my hand in his we began sprinting, though both of us knew we stood no chance in a foot race.

"Over hear!" I shouted pulling him in a different direction. "Help me pick this poll up!" Together we lifted the metal steak. The creature had to much momentum. With a loud screech it's face was injected with a rust steak sending a pink mist out the back of its head.

"That's one ugly SOB.." I studied it looking at it limbs and jaws. "Ghosty, we got lucky."

"I think it's about time we gathered supplies for battle. What do you say?" As I looked up he slid his hand into mine, and I smiled at him.

"Sounds great kitty." He always loved when I called him that. Not to mention I liked it too.

We crossed the street and entered the store. To our surprise the shelves were still loaded.

"Alright, we'll need knifes, rifles, and maybe some cleats. You ready?" He asked as if he didn't already know the answer.

"Would I ever turn down the chance to get free weaponry, with out consequence?" I replied more then happy to get out supplies.

***20 MINUTES LATER***

Ghost POV:

As I browsed through the knifes I heard a shot ring out across the store.

"Dammit! I should've never let her go alone!" Pick up a knife I ran to the location from which the sound came from. "Sketch!!!" I yelled for her but received no reply. Tears started welling up in my eyes. "Please be alright!" I whispered to my self.

"GHOSTY!!!" Her voice came from behind. I turned to see her. "Thank god you're alright!" She ran to me and squeezed me tight.

"Sketch, darling..I didn't fire that shot.." Holding her hips I tried to be clear with her. "There is somebody else in the building.. They could be dangerous. Be very cautious and follow me." I led the way through the isles. There he was. With his arm in a bloodied mess with a rifle in his hands, he sat there dying.

Two more of those things came into our area. Grabbing the rifle from the boys hand, I aimed up at the closets one. "Sketch, grab my knife. When I count to three I'm gonna fire. I need you to stay calm and kill one of those. Can you do that for me?"

"Got it kitty!" she whispered not giving any protest to the risks.

"One.. two.. three!" the shot rang out across the shop. A crimson splatter was stained to the clothes on the racks. The other creature quickly realized us as a threat. It bolted towards us much faster then the one back at the

chick-fil-a. It pounced on me sending me sprawling across the flor.

"You bitch!!!" Sketch screamed jumping on it's back, swiftly dragging the knife down it's back. "Ghosty!" She ran over to me hugging me tight. "I thought you were gone!" The tears ran down her face in a river.

"I'm still here for you darling.." I coughed up some blood in an attempt to rise to my feet. "This hurts like hell!" The adrenaline started leaving my body and I felt the full pain. I felt my mind slipping away sending me under, though I heard her voice for a few more seconds.

"Kitty! Please!!! I love you Ghosty!!!" She was screaming now. I couldn't make out what she was saying, and then it was gone.
