In a dark world, where the only source of light are the stars, shining all way up in the sky, there is a small boy sitting on a rooftop. He is just sitting there and staring up to the illuminated night sky. Every time the stars are visible he is doing that, wishing that one day one of the lights would transcend down and illuminate his dark, cold world. How could he understand, with such young age, that his wish was just that - a wish? His hope - an illusion? While nobody in his world could by any means understand him, no one dared to destroy his hope. No one wanted to crush a kid who would soon enough be crushed by the world he lives in.
One night, the boy was sitting on his usual spot, he saw that one of the lights was moving. Focusing his vision on the light, he soon realized that it was coming closer at an incredible speed. The boy stood up just in time to see it crashing not too far away from him. Without thinking, he rushed towards it. Arriving at the spot, he did not even dare to catch his breath.
Where the strange light should have been was a beautiful glowing flower. This flower illuminated a little bit of his dark, harsh world. The boy sank to his knees and dug the flower out of the dirt. He took it with him as he walked home and shared the light with everyone he knew. For a short amount of time, the world seemed brighter and there was hope. Everything seemed less cold.
But soon the flower started to wither away and with it the hope its light had provided faded into nothingness. The world became dark again. The only evidence of this wonder was a little seed. The seed was smaller than a normal seed and there was not a single thing that indicated that life could spread out of it. The boy was devastated but nonetheless he took the seed with him and buried it deep in the dirt where he once found his miracle. He went to the place every day but with the world dark again and his hope and beliefs vanished the seed would not grow. After some time, the boy forgot about the seed. His hopes had been crushed by this world, like the others had predicted.
Years passed and one day, there was a small boy sitting on a rooftop and staring up to the illuminated night sky. One night the boy saw one of the lights crashing in the dirt not too far away from the rooftop. He stood up and ran there. When he arrived at the spot, he did not dare to catch his breath. Where once another little boy planted a seed, was now a bright, glowing field of beautiful flowers that ignited this dark world.
