•A/N Hiya there! This is a very short story that I quickly wrote in two days•

What if you got lost in the woods? Now imagine seeing a wolf ready to attack you at any given moment. How would you react? The Chase
All I wanted was to take a short walk to clear my mind and eventually go back home but somehow along the way I got lost. I have absolutely no cell phone reception and no idea which direction I originally came from. Now I know you're probably thinking what kind of an idiot gets lost in the woods and I'd love to argue about that but you're right.
I'm so scared right now that I'm literally shaking but I had to keep pushing myself forward... I thought that if I keep going straight It should be out of the woods sooner or later.Boy was I definitely wrong, time has passed and I still can't seem to find a way out of these stupid woods, they're trees everywhere I look and it was definitely not calming, I just want to go home.
Finally after an hour of mindlessly searching for a way out, I sat down with my back against a random tree and looked down, sighed and mentally gave up. It was getting getting extremely dark and I was currently exhausted. I felt my eyelids slowly drop, Soon without even realizing it I passed out silently.
Suddenly I woke up to the deepest, most threatening growl. I sat up even more straight completely shell shocked, fearing to move because what I see right in front of me; a big brown wolf snarling at the sight of my presence. It was close, a little too close. In my whole seventeen years of existence I've never seen a wolf before so I didn't know how to react at all, To say the least I was petrified.
The wolf was inching closer by the second looking like it was ready to rip my body to shreds and at that moment my brain finally processed that I had to get away from it, so I ran.
I ran as fast as I could to trying find a hideout. I was terrified to look back because I knew it was on my tail, looking at me like I was prey. (A/N- Pun intended)
I hear it chasing after me, twigs and small branches snapping, leaves crunching and the occasional high-pitched barking coming from the wolf. I knew that I shouldn't glance back to see how close it really was to me but I foolishly looked back at the wolf anyways. The second I looked back over my shoulder I instantly regretted it.
The wolf looked furious chasing after me. I turned my head back forward quickly and continued to run even faster because seeing that image of the wolf got my adrenaline pumping.
I looked at my surroundings for a place to get away from it. Up ahead was what looked like a climbable tree-well at least for me. When I got near it I practically pounced on the tree, scared for my life.
I climbed up struggling, I was only up a few feet up before I couldn't climb any higher and slipped-falling hard on my side. In what seemed an instant the wolf was dangerously inches away from my face, Then I merely saw the wolfs eyes for hardly a few seconds; the wolfs eyes looked murderous. I swear I seen my life flash by in only a matter of seconds.
